I went with Michalin CrossClimate2 for our Florida summer rains. The biggest they made were 245/65R/17 for my rim size replacing 255/65R/17. I noticed hardly any difference at all.
Very quiet tires and super tracking.

Thanks for everyone's input. It looks like I'll narrow it down this weekend with everyone's input. A lot of my decision comes down to nearby support. My nearest Discount, Goodyear, and Firestone are about 30 miles away. Some good local tire stores are nearby, but none of them are Michelin or Goodyear dealers. So I may end up with some Falkens or Toyos again only because local sourcing is tough.

I like the looks of the Cooper Road+Trails but had poor luck with Coopers on some of my performance cars. I'll let you know next week what I get.

Walmart tires. Same size. They are only about 115 per tire

Really? Because even my local Ford dealer will get me practically any tire I want.

I think this may be my next tire. Are you happy with them? I rarely go off road and winters here in central Va. are typically pretty mild.
Yes very happy. You will notice an immediate difference on how the truck rides and handles. Excellent sidewall, eliminates the roll and sway I experienced with the OE Bridgestones.

TOYO Open Country A/T III

Opinion on Open Country A/T3?

My service advisor convinced me to get Toyo over Faulken.

Prior to delivery in 7/2020, had my dealer install Toyo Open Country AT3 LT265/70R17 together with the Ford Performance Tuned Fox 2.0 Level kit.

Firm controlled ride. Great on/off road and not rock magnets. Road trips average 22-25MPG. LT's are heavier with a little more "thud" with potholes and uneven seams. If I didn't drive rocky roads, I would not have bought LT's. Quiet with slightly more tread whine after a few thousand miles.

Yay SCab !! :inlove:

Excellent. Any rain, snow, off-road experience to share?

Why are you looking at a different brand or model tire? What about the current tires were you not happy with? Those are the questions you need to ask yourself. Unfortunately the number one factor when picking a new set of tires is, what is available? Every tire company limits production on models since the DOT date requirement. They do not want old tires sitting around they can not sell.
So, you may do ALL this research and find your ideal tire, only to show that there are none in the warehouse. Find out what brands your local tire store sells, stocks, or has access to. You can find positive and negative aspects on pretty much every tire being sold. So you will need to weigh the benefits of what you can get.

Just because you have a horrible performance tire on your car does not mean they make a bad truck tire. Different purpose of traction and wear concern. Softer tires are quieter and make for good street performance (cornering, braking, and ride). Harder tires are more durable, last longer, but do not corner well, and have a rougher ride. So buy what you are looking to do with your vehicle. The "best" tire is not the same for every driver.

I personally like the Cooper Discoverer AT3, Hankook Dynapro AT2.

When reading reviews, look at what is important to you. Ignore the Owner satisfaction scores. Owners often complain about trade off features because they do not realize there is NOT the best gripping tire that lasts the longest. You can't have both. Now I prefer a larger sipe groove for mud and snow, but this gives a harsher ride and tires get noisy if you do not stay on top of maintenance. I know this, so it does not bother me. The price is worth the benefit to me.
I like the price point and Mileage rating of these two tires for "my preferences" and driving style.

Michelin LTX A/T is an amazing tire, but pricy and not readily available in my area. When I am in the sticks, and need a tire in a hurry... Most of your middle price range tires are easier to find.

I hope this helps. Honestly in most cases, we find we are not always unhappy with the tires we went threw. So putting the exact same tire on, at least you know what you are getting. This also will not change handling compared what you are used to.

Well, I've got 40k on the OEM Hankooks, but it's time for new tires. Going with stock size 265-60R18. I had To AT3 on my land rover and lived them. Not sure I really need triple peak rated tires on the ranger.

What have other folks put on and how happy are you with them?
I replaced my stocks at 25,000. Front end misalignment ate them.
Replacement, stock size Michelin Defenders, and love them.
