Recently, I changed tires to Falken Wildpeaks. I notice a shaking while braking. I changed front brakes and rotors, I still feel a shake in pedal while braking. Question is can this type of tire contribute to the shaking? Thanks

Could be or the ABS is acting up.

If it’s out of balance, out of round, or excessive road force it could.

Any tire that is mounted out of balance can contribute to to a vibration. Take them to your nearest Discount Tire and ask for a road force balance. You can use any tire shop of your choice but I name Discount Tire because they will both have the proper equipment and will maintain said equipment.

I might add that my ride is smooth and no unusual tire wear

The Falken Wildpeaks Discount Tire put on mine are way smoother than the OEM worn out Hankooks.
I agree. I was surprised by them for sure. With the more aggressive tread and being a little heavier, I was expecting to give up some of the ride quality. They are as good or better for sure.

If the shake is felt in the steering wheel along with the brake pedal - then it is in the front
If only brake pedal - then the issue is in the rear.
I suspect warped rotor, and it either just happened but being that the wheels were just off and on I suspect that possibly improperly torqued lug nuts as it was installed generated the issue.

I should add that rotors sometimes will hold a memory of shape , you remove the wheel and reinstall, as you are torquing it down you are possibly reshaping the rotor out of its memory shape.
This is why Proper Torque is required when installing wheels.
The Ranger Torque Spec is 100 ft lbs

sounds like your rotors need to be turned or replaced........ even if just done they could have been done wrong ---- a high spot causes that it won't hurt anything but is pretty annoying id take it back and have rotors checked again maybe rotate tires to see if that changes anything (out of balance etc) but betting its a rotor issue.

agree with "airline tech" above --- very important to torque rotors correctly (with a torque wrench) go in a cross pattern and not a bad idea to do say 70 lb to all then to 100 (cross pattern again) to all otherwise you can warp them ..... the 'as tight as you can get them' days are long gone! I use a torque wrench on everything now

They used impact wrenches to mount tires to hub. They warp rotors, if over torqued. Most of time turning the rotor solves problem, IF LUG NUTS are not over torqued?
Good luck!
