Late to the party but that's quite a lot of money for a less robust camper shell you can't mount anything to and provides the same security as a soft tonneau cover...

It is a good idea, but I cannot justify the cost compared to a fiberglass shell
Well we do have d-rings on the top and it can Haul kayaks, SUP's, Ladders, Etc. Going to be filming a Durability/ Weight capacity video this weekend.

You can take a look at a video we also made to address some of these concerns.

I like the idea, but I'd still rather have a soft-topper or bestop supertop 2. Those options fold down faster, are comparable in weight, and will probably last longer as well.

The flated is also kind of fugly. Hopefully they further develop the idea of inflatable truck accessories though. It's a genius idea!

Thank you and yes we are continually developing. We never intended to compete directly against soft-topper, I had one and loved it, they are also from my home town in Colorado.

We just tried to invent something completely new. And we have done that. I'm down for the speed challenge however regarding your "fold down faster" comment, and I know 100% that we will beat the first time installation race.

Our topper might be "fugly" but it can support over 400lbs and requires no tools to install, can be installed in less than 30 Min, and stores in a backpack when you don't need it.

You should definitely lead with that info on your product pages and videos. I had viewed a number of videos (both from you and others), and until right now thought that it could only support the weight of a SUP board.

That's more weight than my hard topper can support. I regularly put two heavy kayaks on my topper, which I had assumed would make your product not work for my specific needs.

I put an order couple days ago, hoping to get soon, I can't wait to try it out.

@BladeRanger how did you like the topper? And how did you used it? Im considering one for my 5ft bed.
I've had one for a year now, a little love/hate going on. I'm 73 so putting a hard top on and off is not reasonable. This goes on easily. I put it on for our winter trips towing our little trailer. Keeps things dry and out of site. My bike is upright below which is a real plus. It's not the best looking, but the tradeoff is it's 35 lbs. Biggest criticism is the rear access. Just a floppy piece of vinyl with no easy way to flop it up. I carry a cheap clamp and use that. I took it off today, watched the video on deflating again and was frustrated. Video took 10 minutes, i was at it for almost an hour and no way was it going back in the bag.
I do like putting my kayak on top with a simple folding cushion on the cab. Anyway, some good, some bad. Selling mine for $500 located NE NY along Lake Champlain and the Vermont border.

I think it would be great if it was made to look like a hard tonneau cover with a low-profile depth inside and then inflated to a topper.

Be nice if it was hardtop.
True. Hard tops and tonneaus are nice. Keeps away the opportunistic thief with a boxcutter.

But if you're talking purely utility... Fas Top will happily further drain your wallet by selling a compatible bed rack to go with. Just in case you want to throw a tent, bikes, or kayaks up there.

Again, it's a love/hate thing for me. I just don't like Caps but do need one when pulling my Airstream. Fiberglass, even Aluminum is just too cumbersom to take on and off without help unless you've a tall space and block and tackle.
The other thing about towing thats often overlooked is payload capacity of the vehicle. Fiberglass cap is around 400 lbs I think, cuts into the 1500 lb capacity of my Ranger. 35 lbs Flated Cap gives me some extra weight to bring. Two adults, generator, gas can, propane tank, bike, coolers, kayak, chairs a wdh, tools and more. and you may be cutting things close with a weighty cap.
Not trying to convince anyone, just giving a few of the pro's.

All that stuff needs to be considered, for sure. It’s amazing how quickly it adds up! Most fibreglass caps for a mid-size truck come in under 200 lbs but your point is valid. When I’m estimating the load I might carry in my truck (lumber, tools, dump run, etc.), I have to start with 500 lbs to account for the topper, me, the stuff on my roof rack, and gas.
