With ~200 miles logged on this new setup, I think the shackles are great so far. Well worth the money if you're looking for a cheap and easy way to lift the rear and increase articulation.
My personal anecdote: I've had zero issues with the passenger leaf hitting the exhaust to date. (I have...
Last week - I finally received and installed my BDS Rear Shackle kit, and swapped out the junk Rough Country rear shocks my truck came with for a pair of Bilstein 5100's. Swapped out my old dry-rotten wiper blades (for the 3 times a year it rains here) and grabbed some pictures/footage for my...
Wolfbox G900 Pro Review
Build Quality/My First Impressions:
First hands-on with the Wolfbox G900 pro immediately points to the camera system and its components being top-tier hardware. There’s a nice heft to the camera system and it feels solid in the hand. I’m a tech nerd at heart, and this...
True. Hard tops and tonneaus are nice. Keeps away the opportunistic thief with a boxcutter.
But if you're talking purely utility... Fas Top will happily further drain your wallet by selling a compatible bed rack to go with. Just in case you want to throw a tent, bikes, or kayaks up there.
Thank you, Wolfbox, and congratulations to the other winners too!
DM has been sent.
Looking forward to getting this installed for some upcoming trips to Southern Utah, and back east towards Flagstaff and Williams!
I was just skimming through your thread.
This is an amazing write-up with...
That rear cam would be nice for spotting obstacles while loaded up. As I'm sure you know, it's always a fun game playing, "how close am I to that ledge/tree/boulder" in the middle of nowhere lol. Even more so when it's pitch black out.
I would wager a bet and say that bumper cam would capture a...
What about a 1up hitch rack? I see loads of them out in the Desert Southwest, and a couple friends own and swear by them after previously utilizing competitors. They seem really popular amongst the off-roader crowd out here.
1up USA
While I have no experience with either rack you linked, my...
I may not have as fancy of a truck as many here, but I would love to get my hands on one of those G900Pro's, especially after narrowly missing a previous giveaway! That dashcam would be amazing for all the highway miles my truck sees commuting each week, and for bumping around on rocky trails...
Go for the 17's. They'll give you more tire options and a more comfortable ride both loaded and unloaded.
Food for thought; Black wheels are not easy to keep clean, especially if you live in a dusty or muddy environment. Every time the sun hits that gloss/semi-gloss paint you're going to see the...
FWIW, the 265/70r17s are a considerably more common tire size and come stock on a number of SUVs and light trucks. May keep that in mind if you're trying to keep costs down or ever blow a tire out and need to pick up a spare in a pinch.
Have Ford (and soon to be Lincoln) Broncos simply become the next luxury pavement princesses, with a "rugged" aesthetic? The new G-Wagon, Range Rover, Escalade, Jeeps, and H2/H3 Hummers of yesteryear?
Of course you can, that's part of why it's textured there! Hitch steps are more for accessibility and protection of the bumper cover, especially in tight parking spaces or bumper-to-bumper traffic.
It's not the prettiest truck in the world by current standards, but it certainly fills a void that other automakers nearly refuse to occupy in the states. The Hyundai Santa Cruz, Honda Ridgeline, and Ford Maverick are the only "close" competitors.
I would be lying if I said it doesn't pique my...
