  1. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

@airline tech and @RangerBill a bit of closure to this story for you both. I shared those photos of the corroded connector with the body shop and left my Ranger with them again a few days ago. They looked at it as well and saw even more corrosion all around inside the tail light, and were...
  2. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

Actually, I realized it's not uncomfortable for me to take off the tail light. I removed the right rear tail light and @airline tech I think your theory was spot on. The connector to the BLIS module was soaked in water and has some fresh looking blue goo corrosion, which confirms to me your...
  3. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

OK @RangerBill and @airline tech this is all so helpful, I'm planning on sharing all your thoughts with the shop (I've got a torn rotator cuff and can't crawl around to test these ideas myself). The only challenge I think is that the issue comes and goes. I just took the truck for a drive this...
  4. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

Thank you for such a thorough write up. Just to confirm, the RR tail light is the one that has moisture, but it's NOT the one with the wire tap for the canopy. To make sure I'm understanding what you're saying, your hunch is that when my right rear tail light was removed, it was probably set...
  5. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

I'm not sure what the canopy is tied into, I had it installed at a shop. I know there's a 12v connector running off the battery all the way to the canopy to power a USB charger plus a light. I think the connector from the tail light is for the remote lock/unlock on the canopy. This is tapped...
  6. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

This is all helpful, thanks guys. @RangerBill I'm attaching the list error codes I just scanned here.
  7. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

Thanks for the questions, I just edited my post to address. 2021 Lariat FX4 supercrew. All power gets cut to all physical buttons in the center console (the lights on the buttons go out, and they stop functioning.) The blower/fan for climate control loses power and cuts out. (Doesn't matter if...
  8. Persistent electrical issues following body damage.

I've been working with insurance and a body repair shop and a dealership for a good while trying to figure this out. Would really love if anyone here might have some insight or recommendations for me. Apologies for the AI-summarized timeline of events, but here's the situation: Initial...
  9. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

Interesting, thanks for the replies everyone. I sometimes wonder if maybe the gas nozzles are just too heavy for the Easy Fuel system? When I put a nozzle in, it like weighs down the gas hole until it sags far enough that the auto shutoff happens
  10. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

Also the Easy Fuel opening itself doesn't seem to be firmly attached to the truck. The port itself will sag when I insert a gas nozzle—is that normal? I've had this issue at pretty much every gas station brand you can think of...
  11. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

More often then not, when I'm fueling up my '21 I have to physically hole the gas nozzle up to avoid it auto-shutting off. If I just leave the nozzle in the Easy Fuel opening, the nozzle will sag down and cause it to just auto stop the flow of gas. Anyone else have this issue and/or any solves...
  12. Rain Sensor Wipers Malfunctioning

No matter how rainy it is, my rain sensor wipers are always going nearly full speed, even when I adjust them to be as little sensitive as possible. I'll be parked, in a light drizzle, and they'll be going non-stop. But then occasionally when I'm driving, they'll work just fine. Anyone else have...
  13. Any recommendations for a shell?

I'm about 2.5 years in now with a SnugTop Rebel (pics and info here). Mostly happy so far. I've carried about 125 lbs of kayaks on the roof on multi-hour trips, no issues there. I DEFINITELY recommend getting the side "windoors". It's incredibly helpful to be able to access items through the...
  14. Crazy truck camper—is anything like this available in the States?

I've never seen a truck camper like this before, seems like a great idea:
  15. Toxic wastewater from Ohio train derailment headed to Texas

Isn't that what you did in the very first sentence in the post you made when creating this thread?
  16. SnugTop Rebel Installed

Holding up fine for the most part, have had two issues: The screws holding light bar in the ceiling stripped out somehow, so I'm planning to just epoxy it back up. The shocks for the rear window blew out after about half a year. So you can't just pop the window open, or it will just absolutely...
  17. Richard Hammond's Dream Car

I think the Raptor's max payload and towing is pretty significantly less than the Wildtrak, maybe that's why?
  18. Bilstein vs Eibach vs FOX 2.0 Rear Shocks

I went with Fox, both rear and front. The ride is incredibly improved upon over the stock FX4 suspension. That said, I do wonder sometimes if I should have gone with Eibach or Bilstein for a bit stiffer of a ride.
