@BladeRanger how did you like the topper? And how did you used it? Im considering one for my 5ft bed.

The install instructions are here. Looks like drilling is needed into the bedrail and a flange on the underside of the bed rail.

Another revival for the towing curious; do you know if the 'heavy load' version of the OME kit has higher rate springs in the front AND rear? The marketing language indicates it is for a vehicle with a winch in the front, which makes me think the rear springs are the same in both kits.

Is this solution still effective for everyone who has tried it? Is this forward vent the only place we have identified mice are getting into the cab?

FWIW I found my 2021 with FX4 package to have 3(!!) different types of tires on it on the lot as I was about to purchase it. So it wouldn't surprise me if this was a factory screwup, only correct one for the trim was the spare.
