  1. This is interesting. Inflatable bed topper.

@BladeRanger how did you like the topper? And how did you used it? Im considering one for my 5ft bed.
  2. New softtopper

The install instructions are here. Looks like drilling is needed into the bedrail and a flange on the underside of the bed rail.
  3. Towing with the Old Man EMU

Another revival for the towing curious; do you know if the 'heavy load' version of the OME kit has higher rate springs in the front AND rear? The marketing language indicates it is for a vehicle with a winch in the front, which makes me think the rear springs are the same in both kits.
  4. My only complaint

Is this solution still effective for everyone who has tried it? Is this forward vent the only place we have identified mice are getting into the cab?
  5. New softtopper

How is the topper holding up? Did you use paint protection film at the overhang and zipper contact points?
  6. Tune M1 Camper Top

Recently saw a Moonlander camper in a grocery store lot, goofy but I kinda like it. Its also made in CO and factory install only
  7. Towing Gas Mileage

Short highway trips do not return the best MPG, especially during commuting hours when speeds vary. Doesnt sound like a truck issue to me either. FWIW I get 24mpg highway, 18 in town, and 10-14mpg towing my TT. Which is 8ft wide, 22ft long and 5000#
  8. Tongue Weight Scale

The app for CAT scales makes weighing at a truck stop really really easy. I weighed the whole setup before dropping off the camper for new tires, then went back in just the truck. I wanted to know how much my TT actually weighed, and surprisingly my OEM sticker was pretty accurate. If you have...
  9. Blackstone UOA results on factory 9-10k mile OCI

OP could you clue us in to your use profile? Any off-roading or towing on these intervals? Thanks for posting these, makes me feel good about running 5k-6k on Motorcraft
  10. Blown Trans Club?

I am happier with my trans performance now at 21k compared to 10k miles ago. The delayed shifts while cold are just it being cold, I dont worry about that or push it when its warming up. Locking out higher gears like someone else mentioned has made things much more normal around town and while...
  11. AC condensate.

Does the drain exit the firewall on the vertical portion or where it starts to curve to make the transmission tunnel? Can you help with what I am looking for? A small black rubber tube? A metal one? How far does it protrude from the firewall? 1 inch? more...? I crawled under and it seems...
  12. AC condensate.

What does the outlet hose look like? Is it just a open ended hose jutting from the firewall? Is it pointed downward or horizontal? Can it be located from underneath the truck or from above? Does any heat shielding or other parts need to be removed in order to find it and shove a long zip-tie up...
  13. Max towing!! yeehaw

To update my experience, I just towed my camper again and it worked as intended from the initial hookup no calibration needed this time... fun little gizmo to keep an eye on. Im going to keep a close eye on my 7-pin connector to make sure it is clean and greased each tow to eliminate that...
  14. Max towing!! yeehaw

I recently experienced the same issue with the same brake controller. I installed it myself a few months ago (dealership wanted $1000 to do it) and towed my camper 1000 miles on 3 different trips and it worked flawlessly. Last week when I hooked up it was flashing green/blue and did not...
  15. Went to rotate tires and realized one tire is mismatched

FWIW I found my 2021 with FX4 package to have 3(!!) different types of tires on it on the lot as I was about to purchase it. So it wouldn't surprise me if this was a factory screwup, only correct one for the trim was the spare.
