I bet he got in an argument on this site and the truck imploded in retaliationat this stage you gotta wonder whats going on. we are free to continue speculating as a result.
if he paid for an engine teardown, i'd be pissed if that hasnt been carried out yet. it's been way to long to have that completed and handed the results.
be even more pissed if i found out i forgot to put oil in it which is what trashed the engine.
(the 5000m oil change thread comes to mind), but then it would be obvious why I'd never speak of the engine explosion ever again.
In an ironic way, neither the tune would be at fault, nor would Ford.
wonder if the damper dampened the implosion.....I bet he got in an argument on this site and the truck imploded in retaliation
I’ve updated... just now ?
Yes, just posted...Any updates @Project Midnight ?
If you ever run into something of this nature again pay an attorney a nominal fee to write them a request on an official letterhead. That usually does the trick.UPDATE: after running circles around with Ford Dealer Mac Haik and Ford Customer Service, no one giving me pictures of said damage, no return phone calls etc... I’ve reached out to Stage 3 Motorsports for some help... I’m currently working with the President of Stage 3 Motorsports and he’s gathering information... It’s refreshing to work with someone that responds to your emails etc... Ford had quoted me $14,107 for a new stock engine with parts and labor included, to regain my Ford Warranty... as I said before, I’ll keep you updated as I find out more...
Yikes.... oh well, dancing with the devil is pricey.Ford had quoted me $14,107 for a new stock engine with parts and labor included, to regain my Ford Warranty...
@RANGER PRIDE I’ve updated... and as I’ve said before, I work shift work, and overtime... and I’m not a Forum Queen... I will update this forum when I can, with updated information... I’m just as curious as everyone else, to see where this goes... throw your stones elsewhere if you want to bitch and moan about results... this is my fight, and if I choose to leave you out of the results, thats my choice... As I’ve said before, I’ll keep everyone updated... Oh yeah, and guess what, I’m off the next 2 days... so ask away...at this stage you gotta wonder whats going on. we are free to continue speculating as a result.

I would definitely demand pictures with arrows & a paragraph explaining what each one was all about.?UPDATE: after running circles around with Ford Dealer Mac Haik and Ford Customer Service, no one giving me pictures of said damage, no return phone calls etc.. and the still, blanket sweep of “all the mods”, I’ve reached out to Stage 3 Motorsports for some help... I apologize Ranger, I’m on edge at the moment, and your comment about checking my oil level etc... seriously?? My truck is pristine... your comments are what set me off. You could eat off my engine, cause it’s so clean. Lol.. You’ve supported me before, and I thank you for that, I’m just running the maze of warranty’s etc... ?$14000....oh gawd, thats nuts.
did you get the engine back in your possession?
*edit....now that i see your night shift crankiness translated into your reply to me....good luck. have fun and work some overtime, you'll need it.

I don't think any tune is worth $14K. I think you could do a 2.7L swap for less than that, even if you paid a shop to do it.Forum queen
I like it when people stick up for themselves. Good for you and good luck with Stage 3. A lot of people with tunes are monitoring this thread.
