The drawback to a column shift would be using Sport mode. It would be useless on the column when you're manually shifting in S mode. Not that I do that a lot but now that I have it tuned I do it more often than before.

As far as the e-brake,I've never used mine and should try it out to see if it even works. lol
Sport mode would be weird on column shift but the current sport mode shifting did take some time to get use to. I can't even remember how many times I yanked that at it trying to shift. I still have no clue how/why they came up with those buttons.

Are you talking about the side +/- buttons? I find they come in handy when you're in a hilly area or the mountains, you can hold the gear longer when going up/down. It comes in real handy when going down steep grades so you don't have to ride the brakes as much and the tranny isn't shifting into higher gears.

Just remember that if you put it in S mode and don't hit the buttons it will sift automatically. If you hit the buttons you now have to shift through every gear or it will red line. It's easy to hit the buttons.....ask me how I know. lol

The air condition temperature control is hard to find i don't wanna go into my sync screens to change it. I want a forward camera with my FX4. Front lockers like the zr2. 60/40 rear seat split. More storage under the rear seat. 2nd glove box on the passenger side. Power rear window. Tailgate dampener Ranger raptor. Ability to go to 34 or 35 without messing with the crash bars. I would have been more than willing to get these options if they were offered.

I would definitely agree that all the push-button controls below the screen are just terrible. Especially at night. You just CAN'T glance down to see where the button is that you want to press. You can't even find it as the illumination is next to worthless. I don't see how this ever passed any kind of human ergonomic review, let alone any safety review. The time taken to identify and then operate any button is TOO much time taken away from keeping you eyes safely on the road ahead.

I just got a Lariat and completely agree with the buttons. Freaking terrible design. And why can't the screen have a button for the seat warmers?

Better back seat[split fold flat, more comfort/tilt back], 2.7l option, especially on tremor, and/or a perfornance tune option that accommodates towing, better shifter and dash buttons, ac seats, power recline/memory front seat/s, moon roof option, power rear slider, bed lights, tailgate damper. A tremor is almost $50k and these should be std, not add on accessories or unavailable features.

The buttons under the center dash screen should have a slight angle on them allowing you to feel the button you're pressing. Being "flush" against the dash makes it tougher to change stations. I also think my Lariat seats not very cushy. The seats are a bit hard. power recline would be nice as would a heated steering wheel. And while Im dreaming, I'd like a pony.

OK you are talking about sport mode so instead of on the shifter have paddle shifters on the steering wheel!!!!!!!!! That would be awesome considering we have a 10 speed transmission. I also need a power sunroof but on the scab model! A must. The 2.7 also a must. I was waiting and asked if that would be coming soon but no so I still bought mine. Power seat back. The angle on the controls to we should be driving not fumbling around for controls. Do any of these engineers really drive these trucks and cars they design??? I love it.

Why couldn't ford have made the seats "all electric" instead of partial? Obviously due to cost savings, but it's annoying that I have to manually adjust the seatback angle when all other adjustments are electric. Had they made it all electric we could have also had memory seats, so when my wife drives it we have our own settings.
