They should be a 2 piece design however they do not come apart as with most acorn style lug nuts.

Sorry to say every two piece lug nut I've had has eventually swelled the outer shell and made it diffocult to get the wrench on, or had the cap come loose. Don’t know if it is moisture getting in during the winter or what. Always hated two piece nuts for that reason.

Doe's anybody recognize these lug nuts? If so, what is the brand and quality? These came with the upgraded wheel and tire set. The brand is not stamped on them. The only thing the seller said was they are not factory Ford lug nuts and they are longer than the factory ones (1 3/8"). Don't know if they are aftermarket or Ford upgrades?
Thanks.

I bought a set from a reputable company who said they fit, but the cone angle seat was too small and may have come thru the wheel over time. We went round and round for a week . I sent them back and got factory black lug nuts . I was not going to take the chance of them pulling out.

I’m looking to switch to black lug nuts, but wanted to check with the experts here to make sure these are the correct size as the ones that come with our trucks. I’m big on safety and don’t want my wheels falling off! Thanks!

They look like the crappy two piece oem lug nuts but in black

do yourself a favor and find solid lug nuts

I’ve read that those are no good. They don’t have that 60 degree cone that’s needed from what I understood
Hi Steve,

The original McGard lugnuts do not have enough 60 degree bearing area...I understand they now offer a increased bearing area lugnut but have not researched further. My one piece I got are chrome as my Ranger has the Chrome Package, or as other younger folks here on the forums call the Old Fart Package...

Best,
Phil

Interesting as my MY 22 Lariat with Chrome PKG came with two piece lug nuts.
