Here is a few more. We reside on the south shore of da BIG lake (superior) that offers us some of the best XC snow in the world. I groomed trails for about 20 years and usually took a camera out with me. Top photo is a creek.

Can confirm the amazing XC skiing! Growing up near Marquette we went skiing almost every weekend. And I continued that in to college in Houghton as well. The Tech Trails are great and expansive, and often host the NCAA playoffs for XC skiing. Even took a couple XC ski classes, mostly an easy 'pass' since I had been skiing all my life, but still fun. haha I do miss it.

Well, we survived. I lost our gazebo, basketball goal, and my bed cover (which I found and may be able to salvage)

My parents who live down ON the gulf (I’m 45 miles north) got hit much harder.

When one of the volunteer techs accidentally made a configuration change and doesn’t know how or what he did, and all of your mixes are trashed, you get to spend the week remixing and rebuilding all of your sets and mixes.... and me being forgetful havnt made a backup in over a year...

I love mine as well! Fixing to get another rack 32 I think. I run everything from an iPad these days anyways.

Does anyone know if Bison licks ruin paint? haha We were overwhelmed once we entered their area. They continued to try and lick all the salt off the car. Was going only like a foot a minute pace because they kept standing in the way and not moving. A few horn hits and bumped mirrors made it a little stressful. It also didn't help that they were fighting with each other every once in awhile, running around, and slipping on the ice. haha

That's funny as heck! Beautiful picture by the way. :)

First time in snow ever, or just in the Ranger? Either way, what'd you think? haha
Ever. I've lived in Houston my whole life. Didn't have any issues getting through it, there were a couple iced over small bridges I had to coast through. I think the snow is sketchier at lower speeds, but I've drifted for years so I was prepared ?. I've always been a car guy and had 'super performance' tires forever. I wasn't sure what to expect with these Wildpeak tires, but I've got about 12k miles on them and they continue to blow my mind every chance they get.

Good to hear! I'm always interested hearing people's first winter driving experiences. As someone who's probably driven more miles on ice and snow than in the dry over my life it's just second, or maybe even first, nature. haha But you always hear the horrors when a winter "storm" hits the south and pandemonium ensues. haha

Some conditions are certainly sketchier at lower speeds, gotta keep that momentum up sometimes, but not always.

I've heard good things about the Wildpeaks and I have no doubt they're good in casual winter conditions. Not as good as dedicated snow tires like those of us up north do, but a good compromise.
