Hi Folks,

These picutres are from Cedar Breaks National Park...not very well known and over powered by Bryce Canyon, but just as spectacular...and they have the oldest living plants on this earth...the Bristle Cone Pine. The park starts at 10,000 ft and the hike is down to 9,000 ft, Margie really struggled on the return trip with her compromised lung condition...

Hoodoo abound.

I remember watching them do this when I was back east. It was bad enough winter was coming but now the possibility of it being worse was just depressing.

 Hey you should catch the little rodent and use him as a damper....He's almost the right size and with a few modsI bet it would work.?
Every fall I take several of them out with an air rifle. They are thick here and have done some significant damage to our deck. I'll send them in a plastic bag to you if you want to damperize them.

I'm all set in the damper dept but you might want to message @FoD . This might be exactly what Terry needs! ?

Hi Phil, Great pictures! We were going to try and make it there too but we ran out of time and energy. Hopefully on one of our next trips we will make a stop there, there's so much to see in UT.

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago in my backyard.. Those are walnuts and he is getting ready to bury them. I think this means we are in for a very bad winter!

Left Utah this morning and stopped in Sin City for a couple days, staying at Treasure Island. I haven't been here in 30 years, it's really built up a lot. Place is dead though with no shows going on yet, only the casinos and bars open. It is nice to walk around and not be crammed like sardines though.

Hmm... they changed the jersey to Raiders from the Golden Knights. I like the Golden Knights jersey better. Vegas is like my second home (my sister lives there).

Well they had to promote them seeing the cost of the stadium was around 2 billion. Funny that almost every statue is wearing a mask too.?

Hi Folks,

Just stumbled across more pix...these are of The Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand

These boulders are still baffling Scientists on how they formed. Most are between 5ft to 6ft in diameter...

We decided to head to the Badlands on a whim this weekend! Only a 10hr drive from home, so not too bad. A little chilly and brisk here right now, but a beautiful sight to see everything covered in snow and ice. Quite a different perspective than the usual 80s, sweltering heat, and severe storms. Plus there's only a handful of other people in the park which is always a benefit, especially in this day in age.

Gee, thanks for posting these. We've not been to the Badlands in many, many moons.
We went a few years ago on our way back from Yellowstone. It's the perfect stop spot to make when we're heading out west. We had a 3 day weekend and wanted to get away someplace within a days drive. We'd been to the UP multiple times already this year, can't go to Canada, and been to Southern MN a handful of times as well, so heading west was the only direction left. haha It was between either this or Theodore Roosevelt National Park, one of my favorites.
