Hello all, I apologize for the seemingly basic question, but when you guys talk about having tires flush with the fenders for that "perfect stance", are you referring to the sidewall of the tires being perfectly aligned with the upper fender, or are you talking about the tread of the tires? I'm a little confused here ?

From the internet:

Is it good to stance a car?
Oftentimes, the main purpose of a stanced car project is to achieve an improved visual appeal rather than improved performance characteristics or handling, however some cars combine both.

AND:
What is flush stance?
Flush fitment means that the wheel is pretty much perfectly aligned with the fender. This is by far the most common fitment type from stock, especially for performance-oriented cars.

I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.

Does rake, lift come into play? Don't really care, but thought I would poke in here.

Well, I just got a set of 17x8" Evo Corse Rally wheels with a +30 offset-93.1 hub, which I love. The offset is pretty conservative, but the tire walls are flush with the upper fender. I'd still like a little poke, but I'm not comfortable adding spacers. I just seek validation from you guys that I have the "perfect stance" ?
I will post pics later.

+30mm is going to look great - it’s kind of the sweet spot for avoiding issues with your crash bars while achieving a nice stance.

If you are at all unsure how it will look, send the wheels to me and I will take some nice pictures for you to mull over.
Only if you promise to do this at a Mall along with a Damper Dave Special Tailgate Damper Commercial!!

Totally not paid for by @AzScorpion

Not really a 1:1 comparison as these wheels are 17x9 with +20 offset, but it may give you an idea of what to expect.

Tires are 265/70/17

The edge of the tread is pretty much even with the fender lip with the sidewall poking past slightly.

This works for me as the sidewall gives it a bit of the "poke" stance but the tread is still in the fenders and prevents the tires from slinging dirt/mud up the sides of the truck.

Any mods to the crash bars needed with this setup?

I let the sidewalls stick out...only the treads are flush with flair...
