One of the best functional and cosmetic improvements I made on Oppie was the one-piece black lug nuts. Don't understand the use of chrome on dark wheels. It was the only chrome on the whole truck!

I learned that after I had a vasectomy.

The other thing I forgot to mention is make sure your aftermarket lug nuts have a 60 degree shoulder to match the 60 degree seat on the wheels. Not all of them do.
I think there is a pretty detailed thread on here with drawings about that. I know I never even thought of that until I saw it.

Speaking of swollen nuts, many years ago when I first graduated from university, I worked in the laboratory of a big Catholic hospital. The laboratory was still run by nuns in those days. One morning the lab director, a big, strong, sturdy woman, was looking for something in the cupboards below the work benches, and not finding it, was getting increasingly frustrated.
So in disgust she slammed the heavy sliding door of the last cupboard closed, right on the nuts of one of my co-workers who being a little short slight guy, was leaning over into the space to reach something at the back of the bench. (It was an old lab and the benches were old style very high and quite wide.)
None of us was game enough to tell her exactly why he was rolling around on the floor making strange strangling noises.....
