I've never even heard of that, nor done it. I do my own tire rotations, and have done for 25+ years on many vehicles and not once has there been a torque issue with them. Its good practice to double check them if someone else did the work (tire shop etc) for sure.As they say, when you change your tires over from winter to summer tires and vice versa, you should re-torque your lug nuts at 50 miles....makes you wonder why this isnt a requirement or a strong suggestion to do with new vehicles....afterall, its no different of a process with the same possible result
