Yes, dealt with this after about 70,000 miles. I laughed in a Ford service manager's face after they tried to sell me on a $200 set they recommended and decided to get a one-piece style from Amazon.

Most definately !!! Always stay with one piece nuts. No matter how much you twist and turn them, wrench them on and off yank and pull them, tighten and loosen them, they WILL NOT SWELL !!!!!
They may become a bit worn as they age, but swelling will not be the cause of premature breakage/failure.

I learned that after I had a vasectomy.

The other thing I forgot to mention is make sure your aftermarket lug nuts have a 60 degree shoulder to match the 60 degree seat on the wheels. Not all of them do.

All the twisting and turning of the nuts will cause you another problem which will be very HARD to ignore.

THAT is why you treat them to copious amounts of 303 with frequent applications by hand !!!
It will prevent any "binding" that may occur with "twisting and turning" !!!
If 303 is not available then any soft type lubricant could be used in its place......

True! just do not use hand cleaner with pumice in it.
