Ford Chat is useless. The railcar was spotted yesterday at 1:30pm. (Actually 5 1/2 hours early. Must be a record for CSX.) But Ford chat just updated me and said it was on it's way via CSX railcar # blah blah. Had no info yet as to the upcoming trucking company. ?

gimme my truck already. :oops::crying:
Jeep chat was kind of the same. Some of their info was good but they told me my Jeep was still in transit then I got an email later that day from the dealer it was there. I think it might be the communication between CSX and the dealers but I'd bet it's there very soon.

The consistent pattern is that your truck will show up at your dealer before any of tracking things perform their assigned function

Surprisingly CSX's car tracking worked flawlessly. And they spotted the car early. While I am stunned based on my rather extensive experience with CSX, I must give them kudos on this one.

Now if I can just get the trucking company's name!

I'm overloading on wishful thinking right now. I have a roadtrip starting Monday March 6th. About 1 chance in a million of my truck getting to the dealer and me getting it prior to that Monday morning. But how sweet would that be to have my new truck right in time for a road trip!!! Oh man.... damn near got goose bumps thinking about it.

On the other hand the traffic would be horrendous with all the lookyloo's trying to get pics of my new BLUE Tremor, wanting me to stop and talk so they could see it up close... actually could make for a rough trip. Probably end up causing a media event due to the crowds. And heaven help me if they discover that this is THE Tremor that Ford made a life size pic of the the Corporate office lobby wall.

Hopefully you have this in writing? I know many dealers tried doing this with the Bronco and some customers walked away because they didn't have it in writing. Also I would call Ford customer care and report the dealer if this happens. Probably won't do any good but "supposedly" Ford was going start going after dealers who were doing this. Good luck!
Just some text message screenshots. There has been no paperwork signed.

Hopefully the honer it but without anything signed they can pretty much do what they want. But seeing as things aren't selling as fast as they were a year ago this might not be a problem. It's just always a good idea to get signatures on orders so you can protect yourself from slimy dealers.

Has anyone had experience with dealerships trying to mark up the price when they finally get to pick up their truck? When I ordered my truck I was promised the price and APR were locked in. Now that my truck is here, I have asked if price and APR were still locked in and got the reply that they didn't know, it would have to be discussed at signing. They also posted my truck on their website for roughly 3k more than the price I am locked in at. I go in Friday to get it and have a bad feeling things are not going to go well. Is there any course of action I can take if they do try some shady stuff??
Your price should be on the order that you signed. Mine had the MSRP, X Plan, D Plan as well as the A/Z Plan pricing. Dealer told me at the time, and also in a follow up email, that financing can either be at the rates and specials offered at the time of order or at the time of delivery. Customer choice.

All that said, if your dealer is a slime ball (and many are) you could be in for a rough go. Please keep us posted. Fingers crossed for you.

What I was told as well, along with rebates/incentives. Cannot grab them as you wait, but can get whatever when ordered or delivered.

It is yet another reason why I like X-Plan pricing - as long as the dealer accepts it, there is no question on the price - and fees are capped as well.

Good luck - I hope you don't get shafted by the dealer - the fact that they posted the truck with 3k markup would greatly concern me.

I really don't understand how dealers do this on customer orders. You have to go thru the COVP process to verify you are indeed a "customer", not a dealer trying to get additional allocations under the table. How can they "acquire" a customer order and sell it? I understand if the customer backs out, but.....

My wait is over! Picked it up tonight, it’s dark out Tao pictures tomorrow!

Honestly had the best dealership vehicle purchase closing I’ve ever had at Fox Ford, especially compared to some other dealerships I’ve visited in the past (ahem every Toyota/Subaru dealer). I wish they were a little more responsive during the order process itself (although, I admit, I’m not a typical customer and I did bug them for a lot of information). I can forgive all that especially after the pickup procedure. My wife was at home alone with our baby, so I was trying to get in and out as fast as possible. My sales person was very thorough and had everything from Ford Financing completed and prepared when I arrived. They had the vehicle registration, license plates, and tags done in advance as well after I emailed proof of insurance. They price and rate protected me from my order date, automatically added the 1000 dollar custom order rebate, and accepted x-plan, no questions asked. Once I arrived, it was a quick visual inspection, sign some papers, pay the deposit (he’ll they even took Apple Pay), activate Ford Pass and I was out the door.

Drive home was great! The ride on my new one was actually quite a bit better than the used 2019 Ranger that was my test-drive vehicle (even though it only had 25k). So, now I know that in 25k, I’ll get some 5100s haha.
The 4 speaker XL 100A sound system was not as bad as expected, and I got a manual tailgate lock! Overall, I’m quite satisfied.

I actually did have X Plan and that helped out big time. I got my original price with little issue. Dispute holding us up now is incentives. Incentive at time of build was 3.9% APR with $500 off, and now it is 5.9%. They promised I could choose incentives at time of build or time of delivery. Had some static getting them to accept the original incentive, but they seem willing to take it now if they can find some code for it. Waiting for Monday now to make some calls to get that code.

Technically you were alone with your new baby too?
Congratulations!

Finally here! Order placed early September (actually early August, dealer took their time submitting), build date Jan 31st, delivered Feb 11th, picked up 21st. Sat at the dealer awhile, they were not on top of getting it ready.

Put the raptor grill, some A-pillar lights, and back shocks, just waiting to get someone to out the new coilovers in the front before the 33 Toyos are thrown on. Very pumped! Love it so far.
