So I wake up to this. First thing that went through my head was Cousin Eddie.
“That’s something ain’t it, huh? She falls in a well, eyes go crossed. She gets kicked by a mule, they go back to normal. I don’t know!”

The Ford works in mysterious ways :) . Congrats!

Has anyone seen the Ford website tracker update before Ford sent the email that it's ready at the dealer?
Just curious if you found out on your own, or if Ford emailed you, or the dealer contacted you that it was ready.

Most of what I found out, I went looking for.

Besides production and Vin emails... And a we care about your satisfaction email. Lol

My dealer didn't contact me, ever. I initiated all the contacts.

As a note, it took me calling the sales manager today to get a response from my sales guy about the leaking dash.

My salesman contacted me each step of the way...usually after I already knew what was up from the tracker. The one time they beat me was delivery. I checked that morning, still in transit, got a call a couple hours later that it was in, then the tracker updated a little later.

I was honestly a little surprised by the amount they reached out, since as mentioned they've already got you locked in at that point, not much to be gained through customer service.

The truck isn't quite as quiet as I would have expected in park, there is a little bit of a whine from the outside. I assume it's the turbo and is normal but want to confirm others hear it as well.

It's funny to hear the turbo dump while driving, never thought I would hear that in a truck. Now it looks like the Tacoma is jumping on the twin turbo 4 bandwagon too.

Yeah, it is louder than I thought it would be.

Not overly loud, just loud =turbo.

So you have much wind noise from the sides?

In the cab and driving I've been surprised by how quiet it is, but that is compared to an old V8. The idle is just louder and higher pitched than expected. I mainly noticed since I was playing with remote start through the app. I told my wife it was to start defrosting the windows, but really it was just to play with my new toy.

What you’re probably hearing is the HPFP ( high pressure fuel pump). Turbo will not make any sound at idle, only under boost. And ours is a single turbo not a twin.

You guys need an engine cover! And, doesn't the tailgate damper/dampener also reduce engine noise? ;)

I had to take matters into my own hands....I contacted the shipper (convoy) directly and found a very helpful guy who kept me posted on the status of my shipment.

Checked the Tracker this morning, it said vehicle in shipping status, dealer just called Me
this afternoon to say it has arrived, never received an email to update status.

What/where is the truck I ordered Aug 10th (base Ranger XL with tow package, nothing fancy)?

On Dec 1st the online order status updated to show its "in production" with a 12/8 date
According to my local dealer as of 2 days ago my actual VIN # as "in transit" and has it listed on their website (I had a dealer tell me when I was looking for a Maverick that Ford puts the vehicles on their websites, not the dealer) even though its "pre-sold"
According to Ford Chat yesterday and today my truck should be to the dealer between Dec 19th and Dec 25th....

And I just got this e mail from Ford minutes ago, I mean come on. Base Ranger XL with a tow package, nothing exotic.
