Interesting development with the aftermarket stuff lol.. So you got the remote start to work?
Yup. It works perfectly. I bought my truck slightly used with 1400 miles on it so previous owner might have done that aftermarket stuff.

Gotcha. Glad you got it to work. Mine has been working great. Use it every day.

Nice. I need it as a backup or just a short start up. My dogs usually go with me and I'll use the ford app if I need greater than 15 minutes so I can leave them with the ac on. If I'm going to be fast I'd rather use something easier. Ford app messes up also so I can't always rely on it.

It worked. It was tough getting the cable off. I had to get my neighbor to help. What kind of tune do you use? Might be in my future buy list.
That's great! I have a Livernois tune which I've had for just over a year now. I like that one as you get all 5 of their tunes to try to see which one you like best. I stuck with the 91-93 soft shift tune and you also get two different 87-89 tunes so when gas gets to high you can use those and still get the added hp/tq. You can also recalibrate your speedometer from it if you ever get larger tires.

Nice. How much faster with 93 tune increase?

?...lol

Extremely noticeable but not over the top crazy. They claim (on their website) an added 80hp/100tq running 93. We only have 91 here and it's a huge difference.

Nice. Could definitely use that for getting on the highway. My neighborhood is next to it and need to get up to 70 fast. Although it's not bad without it still would be better.

I drive pretty tame but it's nice to have the extra power when you need it or for the times when you want to have a little fun. We have some long 2 lane inclined on ramps here so it's nice to have that extra power going up them to get up to speed to merge into traffic. It's really amazing how fast it takes off when you're already doing 70 and into the turbo, triple digits come very fast.

I bet. Yeah I find myself going over 90 without even trying lol. Then when I see a full size truck trying to pass by me, I floor it.

I suggest you leave the climate system in auto when you leave the truck. Especially in winter in the NE. Lots of cracked windshields last year leaving defrost blasting and start remote for a warmup. No problems here last year doing that.
