Start-X Remote Starter (Lock-Unlock-Lock)

I installed one of these in my 2019 Lariat.
Couple of interesting things.
If I touch the door handle to lock it then grab it to unlock (without opening the door) then touch it to lock again it starts.
Then I have another issue.
Push start button to shut engine off.
Open the door and the engine starts.
I am not sure if this is a piece of crap or what.
+ I am wondering if it voids the extended warranty.

I got the same unit. I noticed the door control buttons activated it. It kept restarting even with key on and off. It took a fob L-U-L sequence to stop it. Now that I know that it just one of those things to avoid.

Huh, I was looking to get one but it seems I will be ok with my XLT with a key ignition.

Here is an update on my Start-X product.
I sent it back to Amazon. Its a nice feature but the remote range is so short its not worth fooling with.
Really serious problem with it and there tech support people were less then helpful. And down rite disrespectful. The problem was that while driving I got a loss of network connection in the truck Message on display then the dash and head unit went black, dead. Pull over shutdown and restart.
It was happening on local streets and the highway. Turns out that the OBD port where the harness plugs into it the Start-X adapter cable would not fully seat and snap in. Not sure why.
