I had to drive a chevy Malibu for a few months while my car was in the shop. Had no clue about S/S tech it had. Every time at the light it would shut off...my heart would stop too....I could never train myself even when I knew what was happening.. It's all goes back to my 98 elipse gsx that I would have to rev up at stop lights or it would die....major flash back.

Put a trailer 7 pin to 4 pin adapter in the trailer plug. Truck thinks there is a trailer connected, and will disable the start-stop mode.

They do this on the f150's
I tried this with a trailer plug tester and it didn't work! It kept cycling between trailer connected and trailer disconnected....

See if there is a BMS (Battery Monitoring System sensor) on the positive battery post. If so disconnect the harness from the sensor and check if the auto stop start is disabled when starting the vehicle. Should see a notification pop up on the instrument panel screen. This works on F150's.

Tried a 7 pin to 4 pin converter, didn't work either! Looks like it's going to be more complicated....

Can someone take a picture of the battery? Particularly focusing on the positive terminal?

Thanks! the BMS is attached to the negative terminal on the battery. Unplug the connector on the BMS module and check if the ASS is disabled when starting the vehicle.
This was my thought as well, although I'll probably be fine with auto-start/stop as is.

I will probably buy this early March when my delivery date gets closer. and since its basically a use it and forget it type of mod I'll probably rent my unit out so others don't have to pay full price for it.
Just curious why don't you just push the off button?

because I don't want to be pushing it every single time I start the truck. and I'll forget. It's a annoyance. I don't want that excessive starting and stopping on my engine and battery that will cause increased wear and tear on my vehicles. all it does is increase the wear on equipment and increase the chances of something failing prematurely. it's not worth the pennies youll save on fuel IMO
