Yeah, well, Start-Stop remains functional at the drivers discretion with the console switch. Many prefer an OEM style solution. I spent $40k + on my new truck - I can afford to spend another $90 on a proper solution to an irritating issue.

Using a night light is a proper solution. And just because you can afford it doesn't mean it's financially smart to waste it if there's a cheaper alternative. Plus it's more money for other mods with the savings.

I'm reminded of the overpriced classic cars offered for sale where the owner cut corners hoping no one would notice. Sadly, this ultimately hurts the value of the car in question.

Regarding our Rangers, many poorly thought out mods that 'save money' will do nothing more than massage our vanity.

True but sticking a night light in really doesn't affect the value as you can just take it out easily. I've seen my share of where people have cut corners on some really nice classic cars too. Sad to see.

But I'm a cheap Polack so I'd rather my money be massaging my back pocket then someone else's. ? :giggle:

Any members do a mpg comparison for auto start/stop on/off? The acronym seems problematic to search by...

.5 watt night light plugged into 110v outlet in back seat. If it casts too much light during day/night, put tape over it. Auto Start/Stop won't engage when it's drawing and it stops when engine turned off. Found this solution on YouTube... saved me 96.00 from buying a plug in module or wiring kit.

How about one of those wall plug-in room, fresheners? That might be more useful.
As long as it's drawing power, I'm sure that would work too. I think the smell would be to much for me in such a small area and with my luck I'd have an asthma attack. ? ?
