I voted for spray in....but I wouldn't do it through Ford...only a 3yr warranty. I will do Line-X or Rhino or something with a lifetime warranty as I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time.

Got the dealer to throw in Line-X in my deal since it had everything but that. Now I have lifetime warranty.

I got them to do it for free. Part of the deal. Helps when you tell them you're buying cash.

I went with factory. I had a drop in liner on my 2001 xlt. I can’t say I have experience with these resin sprays but how much difference is any of them? It’s about 1/8 inch thick. It seems like it should hold up well. I’m not going to use my Ranger for work on a daily basis. I may move many things. Probably throw some dirt and perhaps gravel back there although very rare. For me, I was just glad to have the spray in. I like it better than plastic.

Although I currently have a Line-X spray in on my current Ranger (which has held up extremely well), i'm going to do a BedRug this time. It looks great and in my "testing" of the sample they sent me, it does appear to be pretty bullet proof - plus it looks great and offers cushion on the knees. Plus it is cheaper than a spray in liner. I figure the worst that will happen is I end up trashing it and I get a spray in down the road. Even if I trash it, it should protect the bed. Seems like no downside to me.

I'm curious how the mats don't just trap moisture against the bed.

I can't talk to that really, other than to say that the material looks like a rug, but is all plastic. It does not hold water at all. It is a really interesting material, honestly. From what I've read, trapping water is not a concern of them. I really haven't seen much in the way of negative reviews of the BedRugs, other than the material can catch things like wood chips in the fibers. Most people say if they are going to haul wood just throw down a tarp to contain most of the chips. Sounds like most anything can be removed by pressure washing it.
