RWJRN, did you install it yourself, how difficult?

Thinking of going with this and a cap or hard fiberglass tonneau.
I installed it myself. It was pretty easy. It mostly involves putting Velcro on and sticking it in place. I wanted more Velcro around the tailgate towers because I thought it would look cleaner so I did purchase more from Ace. The hardest part was finding the holes for the tie-downs once I got the rug in place. Probably taking pictures to remind me where to start looking would have been a good idea.

I was going to do a Line-X spray in, but I ended up ordering the Black Appearance Pkg on my truck, soooo...Ford spray-in it is.

Spray in, but as someone else said, I am going to use Line-x with the lifetime warranty.

I'm curious how the mats don't just trap moisture against the bed.
The bed has ridges that allow plenty of air flow so moisture isn't trapped.

I originally ordered an LTX with no liner. I had planned to get Line-X after the bed got scratched up. Two months later, my dealer gave me a great deal on a Lariat in stock. It came with the Ford drop-in. I hated the cheap look. I got the dealer to trade it for Line-X as part of the deal and I got to keep the power outlet. After having both, I'm much happier with the Line-X. The tailgate is a little tougher on the knees but I can always get the bedrug tailgate liner. later I already had the Ford rubber bed mat before I bought the truck so I just put it on top of the Line-X.

I did DIY Herculiner. I made sure to prep the bed very very very well before applying, should last the life of the truck. And I did more coats than required. Access Tonneau cover on top, looking at a bed rug/bed mat for comfort when we want to use the truck bed for camping or watching fireworks in or something.

My local Line-X deal quoted me at $450 for the premium Line-X. Anyone know if this a good deal?

This will be my first spray in liner.

Thanks!

I've seen estimates up to $700 for the premium liner - I'd say that is a pretty good deal.

I got the factory spray-in as part of the Black Appearance Package. It looks good and appears to be of high quality. I have not really banged it up yet, and so time will tell!
