Back in the day I used a relay running right off the high beam wire at the headlight, this puts the new light load on the relay and not the factory wiring. Unsure if this would upset the computer though in todays vehicles.

Might be different between us to the rest of the world. This has been an unfortunate truth. But hey, someone was willing to find out!!

yes, but it is still a good product, I just need to figure out which wire is highbeam and re- wire
the Stedi plugs to make it work.

FYI, You need to be careful when adding lights that are on with the high beams. Many states have laws forbidding more than 4 forward facing lights on at the same time. Our low beams stay on with the high beams, so that is it. I know people are running them on road but they are Violating the law, and are liable for a fine. Extra lights are for off-road only. That's why fog/driving lights are wired to turn off with high beams. Technically Bambi mode is illegal under these laws. As I said, I know people are doing it, because it looks cool, and to have more vision. But, depending on how the LEO feels they could be ticketed and fined.

thanks, I am aware of that but the lights I am adding are sae compliant for use on road. and since the low and highs share the same projector, I think there is a bit of grey area on that.

True, your Lariat may be an exception. One of our LEO members will need to weigh-in.

Hey all, I just hooked up some lights using the Stedi piggyback harness to tap into a high beam trigger. The Stedi harness is wired to tap into pins 1 and 4 which must be the EU/AU spec. I used the wiring diagram linked below to identify that in the US we need to tap pins 1 and 3. I re spliced the stedi harness, and while I was at it I also tapped into pin 5 on the harness to get a parking light trigger. This way if I ever want to go back to stock I just remove this adapter and my stock wiring is pristine. Hope this helps
