I could see upgrading for other reasons (leveling, lifting) and getting the benefit of less dive, would never consider spending the money just to reduce the dive in the rare emergency braking situation.
I would have kept that in its original packaging to maintain its collector value. I searched high and low when I was in the market and couldn't find a dampner anywhere, ended up going with a damper...
Back in the day I used a relay running right off the high beam wire at the headlight, this puts the new light load on the relay and not the factory wiring. Unsure if this would upset the computer though in todays vehicles.
In case anyone is following who is actually interested in adding a rear slider, DK Hardware confirmed the ECT213S will fit US spec Rangers. Anyone know how the rear window is installed, looks like maybe adhesive?
So has anyone tried the CRL ECT213S? This seems to be the only manual slider available. And please spare us the I never open mine replies, I've had many trucks with a manual slider, I use them quite often.
Makes no sense doing that, you realize when the truck is engaging the starter there is no power being applied to equipment such as the blower motor correct?
Yes it does, I have an aftermarket remote starter that uses the factory fob because the app is unreliable, the AC/heat is turned on when I remote start with a fob.
It sticks very well, I did the wheels of my Wrangler when I had it, went through 3 New England winters and still looked new, all I did was wash beforehand, no other prep other than stuffing some newspaper in to keep the rotors from getting covered. When I traded it for the Ranger the dealer...
The app definitely needs some work. I only drive the Ranger on the weekends as I work from home, I have a scheduled start for midweek (Tue 8am) but very rarely does it do it, and there's maybe a 20% chance the truck will start if I try with the app, the Start-X has been rock solid.
Case in point. We wanted to bring our bikes camping with us this summer, so to keep the bed useable for the tent and equipment I decided to install a class 3 receiver and get a bike rack for it. Now I didn't need a class 3 for this but figured I'm buying it so might as well get one that matched...
