Spit is one of the most vile and disgusting things on the face of the planet another human can launch at another human.

I've had to warn more than one person on the job when I saw what they were thinking that if they did so I would break their jaw. All on bodycam and with zero regret.

I'm sure @Fawnbuster can relay some stories about this subject and spitters.

I've seen fire fighters and EMS threaten to drop someone strapped to the rack if they so much as even looked like they wanted to go that route.
Agreed. Your hands have every disease you have been in contact with since you washed your hands last. Arguably about 2 to 3 hours for most people and those are diseases that are readily available on almost every surface we come in contact with.

Spit, however has about 48 hours of disease in it and some diseases, especially STD's or what they are starting to reclassify as "Mucus Transported Diseases" to avoid stigma, can be there for a life time. Spit is just about the worst kind of assault there is (besides blood) and breaking their jaw is the fastest way to incapacitate the ability to spit. Ironically it makes them drool like a mo-fo.

I'm sorry. LOL a moment ago. For real LOL. Continued reading the thread. Just went back to read this one again. That is freaking hysterical! Crying here....

Sick f**ker. 'Course I consider that trait a requirement for friendship. :like:
Edit: Not exaggerating. I started thinking about this post again last night. And cracked up all over again. I'm chuckling now typing this... this stupid post has brought me to tears multiple times. DAYUM that is funny. GT, you are an idiot! ( I mean that as a compliment btw.)

We shop at Costco mostly, the $5 was for Organic, regular was $3.25, but my wife buys organic for everything on the 'dirty dozen' list as she insists we eat 'healthy'. I don't mind, but hell, I have squatted in a rice paddy eating 20 year old 'C' rations, so I guess its too late.
Hi Jesse,

Our Tortoise insists on organic kale @ $1.25 a bunch. Non organic is $0.82. So not just your wife but our picky Tortoise as well.

best,
Phil

That probably explains why they're worried about tortoise extinction on the Galapagos islands.

This was my favorite phone. It was lightweight and compact and you didn't even know it was in your pocket. If it were easier to text with (and were updated to the newer 4g/5g networks) I'd love to still have one.

That was my fave too!
I also had one of the pervious models that didn't last long (about 8 hours standby) but I was really good. It fell into the dog's water bowl, I removed the battery, and let it dry over night. And it fired right up!

I also had this thing, I even designed websites that would run on it for a client. The battery life was about 4 hours!

Before this, my wife and I used pagers with a number code system!

And before that, I had one of these when I was a volunteer forefighter/paramedic. It was pretty fancy because dispatch could talk to us. But we couldn't talk back.

And, of course, showing homage to Soupie's name, this is what I use now, free and no government wiretapping:

I use to have a Pager too. lol When cell phones weren't as common as they are now it was a good way for others to reach you. My phone was mounted in my truck and I had the horn alert which got annoying really fast. I got a Pager so others could beep me and not disrupt the whole neighborhood.

That's funny we also have a number code system too. You almost had to back then because the cell rates were so expensive. I always knew I was in trouble when my girlfriend at the time would send me 666.

I remember those, so, at the expense of ageing myself I will drop a photo of the 1st cell phone I ever had, it was on MetroCel network (later to become Verizon). Had it in my truck, took 5 minutes to convert to 'portable', if you owned a Dampner you wouldn't be able to lift it.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
do they drive them AND like them? sometimes we are forced to drive things we don't like then I can't hold it against them. Otherwise, they sound like crowd following Taco sheeple to me
There, fixed it for you
