Not bad. I did it myself with no problems. I did use a jack to help support the transmission section when installing. The instructions suck. There is another thread on here somewhere that helps clarify where some bolts are used that is helpful. Careful not to snap the cage nuts. I broke one of mine so one of the bolts isn't tightened on very much but its still super solid once it's all said and done

More protection for sure. I bounced off the stock bash plate (the non FX4 one) a couple of times and put some dents in it but the ARB feels like it will take significantly more abuse without denting.

You will be happy with the ARB skids. Mine have taken an *absolute* beating and still look great.

No major changes recently. I did get the Start X system installed which is nice. The app works almost all the time but it's just easier to be able to do it from the key fob at times.

I did pick up this guy on black Friday for $350that I need to install. I'm looking forward to that

Well, after water in the spark plugs, 1 transmission rebuild, 1 transmission replacement, 1 dpfe sensor failure, and continued shifting problems all within 60K miles I've decided enough is enough. I traded in the truck. I've never driven anything other than a Ford and have always been in a truck. It was time for something more reliable and more family friendly. Now an owner of a 2026 Subaru Outback. Not my first choice of vehicles, but it's the best vehicle for the family right now. The 0% was too hard to pass up on it. Overall I've really been pretty pleased with the Outback. I have more faith in the reliability of it for sure. As much as I liked the Ranger and wanted to keep it, the constant problems and ending extended warranty kind of made the decision for me. For reference, I was able to get $22k on the trade in at 57k miles. I removed all the lights but left the racks and skid plates.

Sorry to see you leave. The Subaru Outback are great vehicles! My daughter has driven them for years. All wheel drive on Subaru has been tested for decades. A few problems in the past, head gaskets, and electrical accessories.
