Sorry, but we didn't have time to go around switching everything to metric. We were too busy using imperial to put men on the freakin moon!It'd be nicer if the US wasn't so darn stubborn and bull-headed and had switched over to metric when we had the chance. Metric is so much nicer and easier to use.
In all seriousness though, while I have absolutely no problem using gallons, Fahrenheit, and feet in my regular life, I can't even imagine trying to do my job (I'm a biological scientist) in anything other than metric.
