Sorry, didn't realize I got off topic. The bilsteins ride great. The bounce and sway are gone. It is firmer feeling more controlled but not at all harsh. The stance is much improved and the truck feels more capable now both on and off road. Great upgrade for the truck!
Its my daily driver also, but yes. Those steps bolt to existing holes on the body and I'm concerned if one grabbed a big enough rock off-roading, there could be considerable body damage. Rock Rails bolt to the frame and I've read are stronger, reported to protect the body, and can be used as a...
I have always been a Jeep Rubicon owner and love the Colorado Trails. This Ranger with a little lift and taller tire like this is a very, very capable climber/off roader.
Those are NFAB Podiums. Yes they look good but I am afraid they hang a little low. Planning on replacing them with probably the Rocky Road Outfitter Rock Sliders.
Bought the Bilstein's from Stage 3. Shackles direct from BDS. Five KO2's from 4WP and the install w/alignment for about $1800. Think the tires were $1300 of that.
Ok someone please explain. According to the truck, I have a lifetime average of 22.4 with my commute back and forth to work usually coming in at 23.8 to 24.4. My first use and comparison with FUELLY stated it was 20.3 on the same route. So there is a discrepancy between the truck and old...
Put the 5100's on all four corners. Fronts at the top perch and added BDS 1" rear shackles on the rear. Looks great and rides even better. Slapped some 255/75R17's (32x10) on and went off-roading. I was amazed at what this truck can do!
Approximately 50 mile one way in Colorado. Went to Springs having averaged 23.9 mpg at the time. Loaded the bed with 1700#'s of flooring and drove back the returning 50 miles. Ended up with a 24 mpg average with the load. Nice!
The rear shocks accommodate up to 1" of lift, they do not lift themselves. If you want the 1" of rear lift you use the blocks. That is the same for other brands like Fox also. A rear shock will not lift the truck itself, this one is just designed to have enough travel for 1" of lift. So can...
Ok, so I owned a 2016 Tacoma Off Road double cab since new. I put 95K miles on it. It had two different ECU flashes from the dealership during my time with it for the shifting issues. To avoid a novel, let me simply surmise that Toyota missed that target with the engine-tranny combination in...
