Wow ,thats odd! Like my one tire that is worn out more than double any of the other tires! I tow trailers and my brakes are still ok. No trailer brakes. The 2 to 4 thousand range.

Went over 50K anf never had to worry about the brakes. In general the brakes on the Ranger done get used much due to engine braking

i'm super easy on my brakes, I look way ahead to judge traffic and traffic lights. I wonder it theyve been dragging but my gas mileage is good as I average 9litres/100kms

45k and dealer told me I was down to 2mm 2 months ago. Have new rotors and pads sitting in garage waiting. Nobody had a listing for the rear rotors. NAPA even said they couldn't get them. Ended up getting them from Ford.

9L/100km = 26.1 mpg. 10-4: Coast more, brake less.

For those cooking the back brakes.. might try turning off t/c and see how often you are forcing the system to stop you from spinning a rear tire.

Read somewhere on here the Ranger uses it's (back) brakes a good bit in it's traction management vs just cutting throttle. I don't have a link to that or tech data. Seems like it from the feel of it when it does step in for me.

Brake pads might be cheaper than tires if that is true.

I'm still suprised too see those needing to replace the rear Brakes that early. When new most brake pads are around 9-10MM and at 35K I remember my rear being 8-9 and the front being 8. Mind you I did drive it hard in a way

I shall try this! I have run the Livernois 93 tune for the last 35k and if I turn traction control off anything over 1/2 throttle spins the tires. Might just make sense.

i'm old and grey and never get into the go peddle from a stopped position. also, i would here the /tc/ kicking in and it never has except sometimes on a snowy day. Perhaps the brake modulator is putting too much into the rear brakes as there is still a ton of meat on the front pads. On a different subject, has anyone tried installing this item and do the specs sound grossly exhagerated to you or is it just me
Livernois Announces Ford Ranger 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 Intercooler (fordauthority.com)
Once installed, the Livernois High-Flow intercooler – just announced at the 2021 SEMA Show – increases cooling capability 80 percent over the stock Ford Ranger setup.
SO, THE KEY WORD IN THEIR CLAIM IS CAPABLE BUT DOES IT REALLY??
