Can I ask why you needed rear blocks?
I kind of mentioned it in a previous post and showed the measurements, but it was almost perfectly level but it still had a sensation of being nose high when driving. I'm sure it was exacerbated by the topper adding weight on the rear. Plus I prefer to still have a slight rake, just my preference on appearance.

Do you have aftermarket upper control arms installed? If not, how are the stock UCAs working out in terms of alignment (camber/caster), is it within Ford specs?

Hi Folks,

Just a comment here...when you modify your truck, the Ford specs may not be anything more than a starting point but you have to remember these specs were developed for a Stock truck and your truck is not stock anymore. That was the reason I recommended a caster increase beyond stock Ford specs. This includes going with different offsets, spacers etc. and bigger tires which have a different pneumatic trail that the stock tires (This is the relationship of the actual tire patch relative to the vertical centerline of the wheel)...

No aftermarket parts other than rear blocks (obviously won't affect front alignment) and the Ford Performance shocks. According to the printout, it aligned to spec.

Great words! I agree that it's obviously not stock anymore however when it comes to camber in particular there's not much wiggle room in what I would consider an acceptable range. I'm by no means a suspension expert but I definitely want to be keep my $1000 worth of tires wearing evenly.

@juthunter Good to know that alignment can be returned to spec with the Fox shocks... I guess that if one were to have the kit installed by a dealer, they'd make sure of that as well.

Followup question - did you install the kit yourself? I prefer doing so myself, but worry if this would void any part of the warranty.

Lastly, did you buy the kit from Ford? I see that Stage3 sells a similar (if not the exact-same) kit on their website, for about $200 less, at $1,279:

@Pathung, I had the dealer install it to maintain warranty. They charged $400 including alignment so I felt like the actual install was about $300, which was worth it to me.

I bought the Ford kit from the dealer as he gave me a discounted price. It appears the Fox kit has identical components though I'm not sure if the valving is the same as Ford's or not.

It's official! The best riding off-road vehicle I've ever been in is a Ranger with the Ford shocks! Can't recommend them enough! The truck just flies over dirt roads, I kept bracing for impacts and then would realize I was already past them... that capability with the Trail Control technology is unbeatable as a daily driver that is just as capable off-road as on it.

I will definitely be going with the fox kit. The look and height are perfect.

Look great and, as you say, rides great, too! I feel the same way about my Ford/Fox kit. I'm glad it worked out for you as well. Happy trails!
