In preparation for trans fluid change and the arrival of the long anticipated Fitz Dip Stick, wife said I could order the PPE pan in the next few weeks.
Just want to verify with those of you who have ordered/installed it...
PPE Part #328053110 for the brushed deep pan.....correct ??? Amazon carries it for $309, and we always have points/cash rebates to use, so I'd prefer to get it from them.
Also, Truck will have around 20,000 miles....do you think a new gasket will be necessary or can old one be re-used ???

My Scan Gauge 3 has a trans temp reading, so I'll be able to determine if there is any change between stock and PPE pan, both driving solo and towing our travel trailer.

Pretty sure when Ford does a trans fluid change the procedure says to replace the plastic pan cover itself and the gasket when doing this procedure. At the cost of a gasket is it worth skipping? Do you have any Ford points left still? Use them to get the fluid and a gasket!

Those gaskets are reusable almost forever. As long as it's the Ford 10R80. It fits the F150 and other models.

This is going to be my next not exactly cheap project. Dipstick + pan with a drain and make fluid swaps easy. Probably save me enough time down the road to easily justify the expense. That and give the trans more fluid to use.. maybe help it last longer.

Rick....no points, but not worried about $$$ if it's necessary. More than likely I'll split for a new one, although I've read here that their reusable. Figured with only 20,000 it would still be good.

But, re-thinking it, why cheap out on such a necessary item....probably go with a new one, and might as well get new/change filter while I'm at it....
Do it once, the right way !!!

I will be reusing the existing gasket. It is designed to be reused. The plastic transmission pan is a disposable item, but people reuse them as well.

If not mistaken does the PPE Pan come with a new gasket? If so I would use that. Also instead of the deep pan I would use the shallow pan. What you ask? Same capacity as factory and you increase the cooling efficiency by adding the cooling fins. Just the fins alone should be enough. I would only use the Deep Pan if it was the bigger pan to begin with like the F150.

No, don't believe the Ford pan comes with a gasket.
I would rather have a finned pan with the xtra fluid especially for my towing. Could see the standard pan for solo/regular duty.

Hmm they have two "Deep" transmission pans. One for 2017-2020 and one for 2017-2023 10R80. That mean you can just pick whichever??? Looks like the newer model has more heat sinks.

Damn...that's why I started this post...to se if I had the right part # before ordering.
Looks like an inquiry to PPE is in the works next week.
Since mine is a 2021, probably the second one.

Yep, looks like the 2017-2023 has smaller logo and longer fins = more cooling?

Sent them an e-mail inquiry, but closed on weekends and holidays, so probably next Tues-Wed before response.

Did a bit of googling...
Seems the earlier number 328053110, 2017-2020 is listed for the F-150 fitment, with the 10R80, although it fits the Ranger.
The newer number 328053610, listed for 2017-2023 lists fitment for the F-150 AND the Ranger.
I'll wait for their response, but it looks like they updated the part with more fins/smaller logo, and added the Ranger to it's fitment guide.

There was a comment on the Amazon link to the pan that the PPE Part #328053110 doesn't fit later F150s due to the electronic park solenoid.

This may be why different part numbers.

Curious to hear what PPE says.
