I designed the machines I didn't work on the machines. So work was great.
I figured by your profile but we can guess what running them day after day would be like. ;)

Funny or sad part is that regardless the terms they parted on, the next place they go will not really care their history as long as they can follow the playbook.

Lets see... do what I can in these times of shortages in parts and people or say NO to management pressuring me to produce?
Oh what shall I do?
Or.. maybe he is just a slime ball.

Fire the little guy for the mistakes of the CEO.
Yep, if he would have taken Farley with him it would be something I would be happy about. There are too many decisions concerning the Bronco rollout that Farley allowed to happen to blame the problems on just one person.

Doesn't surprise me. MAP clearly had issues managing the supply chain mess. Thousands of vehicles sat outside for months waiting for parts that were going on vehicles coming down the assembly line instead. Having worked for a major aerospace manufacturer, tracking jobs waiting for parts is a basic part of plant operations. The fact MAP wasn't doing it means it wasn't being well managed.

Just as surprising, Hau Thai Tang is retiring effective Oct 1st after 34 years at 56 years old... I thought I read some time ago that he was going to head up Ford Blue. Ok, with a 7- or 8 figure net worth he can afford to sleep in, but it seems strange that he would leave before the S650 Mustang rolls out. I guess it's, "Thanks, Hau. The development of the S650 is complete, we'll take production engineering from here-see ya!"

edit: Ok, I just reread the article I linked. Between the lines, it looks like they promoted him to the pasture: "Chief Industrial Platform Manager!? Sounds like, "Executive Submarine Screen Door Engineer."

addendum to the above edit: Kumar Galhotra heads up Ford Blue, formerly President of Ford North America.

OK you can return to what you were doing.
Thanks.

Anyone remember Lee Iacocca?
Yeah, his Japanese challenge to a knife fight commercials were great - Lead, follow or get out of the way! :captain:
