Seems like an old article and is talking mostly about the Argentina factory. They also have this part wrong - "but the all-new pickup won’t be launching in the U.S. until 2023, likely as a 2024 model".

I think the car market is going to cool down quite soon with the rate hikes continuing to fight inflation. Semi conductor industry is going to see a extra capacity for chips because future demand is down.

Of course the 2023s are going to be a 2023. But they are not 6g Rangers. 2023 US Rangers will be just like yours and mine, minus some deleted items of course.
EVERYBODY is well aware that the US 2023 Ranger will not be a 6G. Ford has confirmed this.

Ah. I misunderstood what they were saying. I thought they were implying that we'd see the next gen on the streets in 2023, which we won't.

- Order banks are now open (8/5)
- Scheduling has been pushed back to 8/25
- Job 1 remains 10/10, figure 6-8 weeks for first ones to arrive at dealers (wild guess in the current environment)
