Pistol Mount ideas?

Sad to say, but I don’t go anywhere without my pistol. I pray ineve4 have to use it, but I want it ready should the need arise. For those that carry, do you have a Mount that works? Carrying it in my holster works, sort of, but it can be tough to pull when the seat belt is used.

I am considering an AR15 decal for my dash and rear window..
That way road ragers and the like will see it, think its real, and cry to their mommies long before I need to man up myself. No gun mounts required.

And it tells thieves that there might be something in here worth stealing.

I bought a magnet mount that you can screw into a panel. Just set the slide against it and it will not go anywhere. I took my old ram off-roading and hit all sorts of big bumps and never had my gun move.

Reminds me of the sticker my grandfather used to have on his front door of his home - "Nothing in this house is worth losing your life for." and had a picture of a gun on it.

Be aware of your state's gun laws. In Texas, a handgun in plain view has to be in a shoulder or belt holster on the person that has a LTC. You can't have it in plain view any other way. Mounted to whatever, laying on the seat, wedged between the seat, in the map pocket on the door, etc. Those are all illegal methods of carrying in Texas.

But you live in Canada, so wouldn't someone quickly call your bluff since y'all banned AR's.

I use a Ram mount under the seat and attached a holster to it. Easy to grasp being under my leg and not obvious to anyone be me.

New laws for Texas since the original post. Just wave a sword and a gun around while driving. Between that and the dash cam that can't see me. No one cuts me off. I just use the lane departure correction to not run off the road with the hands free driving.
