Gonna replace the cheap factory boot now even though mine is still mint

I've got a mint one in my garage.

When the apocalypse happens and the whole family is piling into the Ranger for their bug out vehicle, the driver will look down at that torn factory boot and think "I've gotta buy a new one of those and you can't get them anywhere now. I wonder if Dr. Z still has that mint one? I'd be willing to pay a handsome price to get rid of that eyesore. I'll have to hit him up with some smoke signals once we get away from the carnage"

Did you point out that it is indeed located between the bumpers? Given the number of these things that have been replaced under the warranty, I'd have to say the evidence points at your dealer being wrong. Either open a claim directly with Ford, or just avoid the hassle and send some money Redline's way.

Opened a case for replacement.

Its not covered. A $2 part with two minutes labor. Find a new dealership and definitely complain online

Well that doesn't seem right or fair. When my Mountaineer was still under warranty, I had a crack develop in the driver's leather seat in the area where you slide out. Dealer replaced leather seat cover under warranty. I'd be making a phone call to the higher ups!
