I Gutted the inside of my truck to change the carpet to a rubber mat, (a whole different story) while I was at it, I figured I would Kilmat everywhere the factory sound deadener was missed, when I pulled off the rear panel behind the back seat, I found one vent open, one vent with this black foam on it. I looks like it is supposed to be there, but that does not make sense, unless Ford added it for some reason, maybe the exhaust noise? Or something to do with wind buffeting through partially open windows, if it's there on purpose, who knows what Ford was trying to fix.
Or maybe it's just packing foam when the supplier shipped them, which really doesn't make sense either.
So, anybody else get a look behind the rear seat panel? If so, does your vent have foam on it? I figured I would ask before I remove it, it just makes no sense
