Ordered a New Ranger. After reading about the numerous problems on this Forum I am not sure I made a good choice.

Curious what your other choice is if you cancel the ranger ownership?
I had considered the Maverick but decided the bed was too small. Don't like the looks of the Tacomas or the new Frontier. The chevys need a new look as they are7 years old. So the Ranger was what I choose.

Just to throw in my opinion, I've had a few issues with my truck that were covered under warranty, the dealership service dept was the worst part of it. I love my Ranger, size wise living in a city I can park anywhere but have the convenience of fitting passengers in and a great sized bed. I'm sure most of the midsize trucks with accomplish that for anyone but the engine sets the Ranger apart. I get great mileage with premium and it is fantastic to drive. Love the sync 3 and heated seats. Nothing I don't want, everything I needed.

I would consider the Maverick if it was 'different', but that's not the market they are going for and I get that.

A Maverick 4x4, scab, with a 5.5' bed and hybrid, I'd look at it. But, that's not gonna happen, so I will wait and see what the 6G Ranger has to offer and decide if I want to upgrade. A ranger with with the bed and storage changes the Mav has, with a scab hybrid, then I'm in. Else, I'll ride it out with the 5G.

I have no clue if you made the right decision.
Some did their research, some did not.

Love the truck.

Convince me that I made a good choice.
You are going to enjoy it, this is my first Ford, I had Toyota's, Jeep, Dodge and so far I like the way the 2.3L Turbo rides. My FX4 XLT came in tuned to race. It doesn't want to drive slow, it seems that the horses want to kick at full torque and speed, love it so far. I'm more scared when the wife drives it, she always wants to go close to 90mph and I haven't calibrate the gauge since I went to a bigger tires.

Take a drive tomorrow. Go look at some mountains and think about the adventures you'll soon be having. You'll feel better.
