should work good until you actually use it as a skid plate. but good news is plasti-dip is pretty easy to touch up.

haven't seen anything for the tank yet.

589 fab makes rear axle shock mount guards, and ARB makes a diff cover plate that's supposed to be more durable and better designed for scraping the ground, but doesn't offer any more coverage - not sure what you're hoping for with the rear axle though.

FWIW, The micrometer reads .08, or 80 thousandths of an inch.
If the plate were actually 1/8” thick, the micrometer would read closer to .125.

I just want to paint mine black, and same for that little front valence. That shit sticks out like a sore thumb! My son says to vinyl wrap the valence, and plasti dip the skid plate. And to all of you hard core wheelers..plasti dip holds up better that power coating and is cheaper. I have a jeep wrangler and 2001 Tacoma that have been to hell and back. My Ranger is to me is not ready for the heavy stuff. I'm still breaking her in. So to all you tough guys that say plasti dip is b.s. join Tacoma world. No need for negative here. We all bought these trucks and join this forum to learn. If it wasn't for this forum I'd be driving a Tacoma....glad I didn't.

I just installed the front shield skid plate (Part #KB3Z-5B018-A), EPAS Skid Plate (Part# KB3Z-7E063-A), and the 8 bolts to hold them on (Part#W505443-S439) for my 2020 XLT, FX2. I was worried about something getting up in there, especially by the EPAS unit. Came out good.
