should work good until you actually use it as a skid plate. but good news is plasti-dip is pretty easy to touch up.I just want to paint mine, plasti dip? Any thoughts?

589 fab makes rear axle shock mount guards, and ARB makes a diff cover plate that's supposed to be more durable and better designed for scraping the ground, but doesn't offer any more coverage - not sure what you're hoping for with the rear axle though.
