Where I'm from that #4 is called a "Chicken Bar" so by definition it is only for passengers!

I think they are really needed for the back seat on either body.

On the other hand... As a fleet mechanic I often saw broken GM steering columns from drivers using the wheel to hoist themselves into the driver's seat. They could have really have used a good sturdy grab handle by any name.
I would surely use an 'assist' handle every time I get in the truck. It is especially useful when you have some difficulty with your mobility due to knee replacement.

yeah, I don't understand why they decided to pull out the driver's handle at the last minute

I've been without a heated steering wheel and cooled seats my entire life, but they would be nice on a fully loaded brand new vehicle. Power sliding rear window would also be awesome. I'm actually surprised how much I use that on my current Tacoma.

I'm certain a power sliding rear window device could be designed and sold aftermarket, probably would sell 10K of them...

Maybe the handle and "A" pillar cover could be bought from one of the trucks from a country which drives on the wrong side of the road? They likely have a left side handle?

I believe someone here did that (ordered the part from overseas) and it didn't fit right.

Found the posting: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/drivers-side-a-pillar-grab-handle.1478/page-3#post-30601
Of course I don't have a Ranger, but if Ford ever actually delivers mine I will see if it needs handles Especially for the back seat of the SuperCab.
If it does, I will either fabricate my own or scour the salvage yard for something to adapt for a good fit.
You would be surprised what a little imagination and a great source like a salvage yard can accomplish.
I.E...There were no sill plates available for my TC, so I got some perfect fit and beautiful sill plates for free from a junked Expedition.
Just shaved the tabs and installed them with glue.

Heres the first one on a Canadian wholesaler site, still says made in the US, so this may be attainable here in NA

EDIT- Ok, I was able to add it to my cart at CarId, pick 2016 ranger

BTW, people have modded non power sliders with a small linear actuator as well, google reveals a few
The ones linked all look like wrong windows for our trucks. The NA Ranger back glass looks to be much smaller than the one pictured.

I'm looking into seeing if the Explorer components can be used to add heated steering wheel. I have and like it on my Fusion.

Yes, Im guessing that its a stock photo as most of the ROTW Ranger pic.s look the same, but I could be wrong. The body doesn't seem to have changed from over there as I ordered a vehicle specific roof rack fit kit for a 2016 T6 ranger from the UK and it fits mine fine, but you never know.

I guess I'm a bit lower class than some of y'all. I didn't mind heated seats in my Silverad, but rarely used it. Never had a heated steering wheel, but I grew up in NW Montana, and managed to live without it.

Most importantly though... cooled seats... Do those still blow air out through perforated seats? If so, no thanks! I once used a rental car that had that option... I used it once after sweating walking around outside for a couple hours. Funky butt sweat blowing up into my face was not a pleasant experience.

if they put in a sunroof I wouldn't have bought it :)
I agree. For tall people (disclaimer: I am six foot three inches), sunroofs take up much needed headroom. And for everybody, they change (for the worse) the aerodynamics of the vehicle, add to cabin noise, and every damn one of them will someday get stuck and/or leak! (I once overheard a Ford technician at the dealer explaining to a female customer that her sunroof would not get stuck so often if she would just leave it closed!)They are a definite deal-breaker for me, and partially responsible for my decision to abandon the higher-end Explorers for the higher-end Rangers, that is, the Lariat, which gives you all the power, tech., specs., and music you want but does not force you to take a hole in the roof to get it!

I know I laugh when I read folks whining about not having heated steering wheels...But on a more positive note..... damn I love those heated seats! They warm my entire butt ( and that is a lot of real estate ) and halfway up my back. With 2 ruptured discs in the lowerback let me tell you that is deeply appreciated. Doesn't even have to be cold out for a little heat to ease some of the back pain!
