I got my heater box replaced last week for the clicking noise TSB. Even with the new box, not much heat goes to the floor. It's just the way it is.
Mine has the clicking noise when set to heat. I suspect it's the blend door or actuator is broken. Really no heat comes out floor vents. Did they give you any grief about the TSB? Was it a big job?

It was a huge job, and since I don't have a recovery machine for the new refrigerant (heavy trucks still use R-134a) I couldn't even do it myself. Out of warranty the cost was around $2500. Ford has played around with the labor times on this job, apparently some of the mechanics were finishing quicker than the book said. So they lowered the time. Sucks for them, good for us.

Yes, as a mechanic by trade and having to rip apart the dash for heater cores and dropping the fuel tank for fuel pumps.

I have NEVER understood why ALL vehicles do not have an easily accessible way to replace HVAC parts or Fuel Pumps.

This is the point where sometimes I would love to get an engineer out to the shop and hand them the tools and say there you go, fix it.
It would not take much just to design in an access panel for easy access.

But I chalk this up to the Cure for the Common Cold, you cannot tell me it's not available.
I know by now we have the formula locked up in a vault, but we will NEVER see it.
It's all about the $$$ drug companies will not be getting.
