with the rental car shortage due to the chip shortage, i might just have to wait to take it in. i am sure it will be fine for the next 6 months.

Interesting, As I was driving it today, I thought this could be from the transmission, because it seems to do it on the very last downshift.

Ours does this too when I have the auto start/stop off and I come to a complete stop.

I'm speculating that the 10R80 transmission clutches are disengaging the torque converter and that's what we are feeling and hearing.

No load means better mpg.
