Hello All! Going to be trading in an almost new 2021 white Jeep Gladiator Rubicon that is a great vehicle on a 2022 shadow black Ford Ranger XLT Tremor. I have decided that since I can get basically what I paid for the Jeep and really am not going to do any serious off roading, I will get the new Ranger and get quite a bit of money back on the deal! The new Ranger should be in this week or next at the dealership. Now questions for y'all, Is there anyone that has added a Harbor Freight Badland Apex 12K winch to an aftermarket Ranger front bumper? I have the same winch in the box brand new and would put it on, if there was a clean way to mount it. And again, the Jeep has been fine for 2.5K miles, but I now realize that it is much more than I need and I really could us the extra $$$ anyway for other projects. The signature picture is just a Ranger off the internet, not my new Ranger. Thanks in advance for your replies!

I am sure someone will chime in, there are a few with winches. If I can play devils advocate, if you wont be doing any SERIOUS off-roading, why bother? I personally just keep traction boards in the bed and standard recovery gear. The Ranger platform is quite good off-road.

If you still need the winch, there is a company that makes a sleeper setup where it tucks into the stock bumper, really trick, just not sure how large of a winch will fit in that area.

Probably will not do any serious off roading, however I already have the winch brand new in the box and was wondering if I could use it. It may be a little big however. I like helping others and would probably use it to pull others out of the snow, etc. Even here in Tennessee, we did get some snow this winter and a couple times there were many people off the side of the road stuck. Thanks again Anthony!

Thanks Todd and actually I think that the Jeep Gladiator is a good looking truck too. Have had many compliments on it. However I have always had Fords in the past and think the Ranger for the money is a great deal.

Hang in there Rich! Looks like yours will be in very soon. My new one should be here between today and the 4th of next month. Excited as well. Be fun to be back in a Ford!

If you’re not doing any serious off roading just sell the winch.

Even though you are correct on probably not doing any real serious off roading, if I can use the winch to help other in a jam, or pull myself out of some muddy situation, I will keep it if it fits. Looks like it might not fit though so I might just have to sell it.

Just kidding. I love jeeps but would not want one for a daily driver and pretty partial to the looks of the Ranger. Again welcome to forum and look forward to hearing about your new Ranger.
