New guy checking in.
i have a 2020 Ranger (Lariat) Supercrew

i’ll be using the search option, but I’m sure I’ll eventually have some questions.
Hello, late to this site. I usually post on Ranger6G. Just not a very active site, since the new Ranger has not been released. Waiting for the 2023 PHEV Ranger to come to North America. I had my sites on the new Black Diamond Bronco, but there is more value in the Ranger. I currently own a 2011 XL Super Cab Ford Ranger 2.3L Manual 2WD. Its a very basic truck. Just not very capable off road. This site is great to see how I want to build an Overlander Truck. I laughed lately. I had this new sound coming from the motor. A puffing sound. I researched what it could be. Just couldn't narrow it down. So I found my stethoscope. and had a listen. Narrowed it down to one of the cylinders. Still did not know what it could be. Thinking a big bill. My brother is mechanically inclined too, so I had him take a listen. I touched the spark plug lead and it was off the plug. What happen was the spark plug had become loose. I had changed the plugs many KM's ago. Live in Vancouver BC. Saved myself a big bill or any bill. The Rangers been very reliable. I have just above 100KM on it.

Hi All,

Glad to be on this forum. I’ve been lurking for a while while trying to figure out what truck I wanted. Finally made a decision and got a Ranger 2 days ago.

Hey Everyone,
New Ranger owner as of a month ago. Loving the truck and the forum is great. Used to own a 2nd gen Tacoma and the forums were a great place for info/ideas. Bilstein 5100 lift is already on the way and excited to do more.

Hi Forum Folks,

After quite some time of research I had a Blacked out 2020 4WD Ranger SCab follow me home in early December. I made a few minor upgrades and have been reading and enjoying this site and its forums for a little while now.

Already have found some great ideas and will be trying some upgrades after reading some great posts from some very knowledgeable and talented Ranger fans on this site.

Thanks

Bought a 2020 FX4 on Saturday - picking it up on the 22nd - dealer needed to add a few things I requested - and it is a four hour drive...

Have had a Fiesta ST since 2016 and looking forward to another EcoBoost.

Truck will have two other mid-size trucks to share space with when it gets home - both Studebaker Champs. Both are 1962 models but they were built almost exactly 10 months apart. Oldest one was restored by a relative back in 1993/4 and I am its current caretaker. Second truck is a restoration project - short wheel base, wide box, six cylinder with three speed/overdrive tranny. It still has a ways to go.

Hey all. New Ranger owner here in CT. It's been a tough winter so all I have is a few poor pictures of a dirty truck. I bought it in November. I ordered the ARE Z2 topper the first week. It took about 12 weeks to come in. While waiting, I added the Raptor grill/lights. Also ran some wiring for light upgrades. I put a Pyle 200 watt amp in which is driving 2 Whelen siren speakers up front. I connected up an Adafruit 2220 sound board which holds 11 wav files, and a selector switch which allows for some creative horn sounds (LOUD!). As can be seen in the bed, a Wolo Siberian 847 train horn/compressor went in with three trumpet horns underneath (LOUDER!).

A fairly inexpensive Rove dashcam is in the back. I'll occasionally use a GoPro Hero 9 black up front. I know the Rove is cheap but I have a BlackVue in my Fusion which was a lot more and the quality is no different so I'll at least put a second Rove facing forward and possible one in each side window of the cap. I have some LED lighting arriving tomorrow because the interior lighting is inferior. My daughter has an '18 Edge Titanium which has very nice lighting.

I have two Rigid lights below the back bumper and two or four more are going in the back window. I already loaded a performance tune from 5star. A good launch gets to to 60 mph in a hair over 5 seconds. (F the warranty! :) )

I thought about tires and lifting it but that would require structural changes to put taller garage doors in. I'm not sure where things are going. 5 months and 900 miles in, I'm having fun and taking my time. No off roading planned and I'm probably older than 90% of the users here but I've seen some nice pictures while waiting to be approved to post.

Welcome Jim,

Too bad about your garage but your truck will turn heads without the lift.

Nice!!! Cant wait to see how she looks when your done!!

My username is in reference to my first truck, Sanford and Son... It was rusted out 1978 4WD F 150, 400 cubic inch 2 barrell carb. You could see the road through the drivers side floor pan and the exhust was hung up with speaker wire. Had antique plates on it so it didnt need an inspection. Got my money worth out of it and have been a Ford Truck guy ever since!

Was born with Ford in my blood - grandfather worked for a Ford dealer from 1946-1970.

Still debating how far to go with the 7E5 above but love its simplicity - this the main wiring harness (NOS) for the truck.

Aloha everyone? I'm born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and just joined a few days ago to get some info. I currently drive a 2014 Focus ST full stage 3 with a custom Stratifed tune that I've wrenched and have been using as my daily driver for the last 5 years. It's the best daily driver I've ever owned and could drive that thing around the island all day, but with my lifestyle and being a family man, It's time I go back to my truck roots.
I'm not a "brand" guy, but lately Ford has ticked all the boxes for me and thus here I am. I was very interested in the 2021 Hybrid F-150 being that its a rolling generator and gets great mpg for a truck, but it is a bit out of my price range. I usually nerd out researching whatever I am interested in before I purchase, and after a month or so, the Ranger just fit for what I need. The thing that cemented it for me was the Tremor package. All around value for product seems unmatched from what I've seen out in the mid-sized segment.
I plan on putting in a special order tomorrow morning when I take my ST in for a recal check. (It's been done months ago but hasn't been logged) I have a X-plan as well as the Costco Auto Program so I will be using one of those upon arrival and hopefully have some incentives by then. I plan on ordering a Black 21' Lariat Tremor with all the bells and whistles. With that said, any advice before ordering would be greatly appreciated.
I learned a lot and found a great group of people from the FocusST.org Forums, and hope I have the same experience here.
On a side note, I noticed the Local Section of the forum, there is no place for Hawaii Ohana! The 50th state like represent too! If I missed it, please point me in that direction. If not, could a helpful Admin create one for us? I promise I'll try my best to keep it lively ?‍♂.
Sorry for the long post, take care everyone! Aloha!?

Welcome! Let me know if you need me to come visit :like:

My wife has informed me we should at least consider moving to Hawaii when we retire. So I probably need to do some research.
