I don't assume that you guys receive Single Cabs over there but this is what they look like, nice long bed.

What we don't really get in Australia is large (affordable) pick-ups. My Dad had a 1980 F-250 crew cab with the long bed (in orange) and the thing was huge. From memory it was a 351 petrol engine. Until about 2 years ago no manufacturer brought any American Pick-ups into Australia, they all had to be private imports and then locally converted to right hand drive. Now Dodge brings in the Rams but a 1500 with petrol Hemi starts at around 90K on-road. My Uncle bought a second hand Ram 2500 diesel a few years ago to tow his big 5 horse float and it cost him over $140K

Hello everyone. My name is Terry and I am from Tennessee. My wife recently (a few weeks ago) purchased for me a new 2021 Ranger XLT. I am 45 years old and this is my very first truck...I have always been a car guy. That is until now. After driving my truck for the past couple of weeks I can never see myself going back to a car. The more I drive my truck the more I find myself wanting to drive it.

I have read through a lot of threads here over the past few weeks and I am glad to have found a place for people like me that love their truck and want to talk to fellow Ranger owners, whether it’s for help, tips, tricks or ideas to make you Ranger a more personalized ride. I look forward to talking with everyone here. I hope everyone has a great day!

Yes it is, but that's far too short for moving around a lot of the things I do. I still have my old Nissan Hardbody Single Cab for now as I am constantly changing between the two depending on what I am doing. Even my mountain bikes don't fit inside the back of the Ranger without removing a wheel. I only had the vehicle for a couple of months before I'd had enough and decided to go down this path.

I don't know if it done much elsewhere but in Australia it is quite common for Super Crew owners to do 300mm chassis stretches and fit SuperCab Tubs. There are companies all around the country that specialise in this with a 1 week drive in/drive out service. To date I have never seen a SuperCab stretch though, and here we haven't had a Single Cab factory delivered with a Tub/Bed back since 2015 so they are very hard to get (and quite expensive). South Africa still get Single Cabs with factory Tubs across a lot of the range.

Completely understand. When I really needed a big truck I always went with a 3/4 or 1 ton truck with the 8' bed.

Hello all,

My name is Brandon and from San Diego. Been lurking for a while for a few months back since I bought a 2020 Ranger Lariat 4x4. Moved over from a headache of a 2018 Chevy Colorado that gave check engine lights all the time even though it was brand new. Super happy with the Ranger though. I like to put vinyls on my car that some may think look stupid but I enjoy it, I guess that's all that matters. Thank you all for providing a wonderful and helpful community.

Have a lovely day and a more normalized year,
Brandon

Hello all, I just realized there's a "introduce yourself" thread. I already posted in the General forum with before/after pics of my truck. Anyway, I'm Ed. Live at the beach in NC. Professional pilot, amateur mechanic. I've been turning wrenches my whole adult life and (finally) have a lift in my garage. It paid for itself years ago. Glad to be on the Forum, and I"ve learned much about the 5G Rangers already.

Hi everyone!
My name is jimmy and returning to a ranger finally after rotating through a couple smaller Fords (2 Focus and an Escape) from my first ranger around 20 years ago. Really stoked to be back in a truck and my first 4wd vehicle as well. Here is how my 20 xlt fx4 stands as of now.

New guy checking in.
i have a 2020 Ranger (Lariat) Supercrew

i’ll be using the search option, but I’m sure I’ll eventually have some questions.
Welcome and enjoy your Ranger. Lots of great people on the forum with excellent feedback. Be prepared to spend some money though.

Hello, late to this site. I usually post on Ranger6G. Just not a very active site, since the new Ranger has not been released. Waiting for the 2023 PHEV Ranger to come to North America. I had my sites on the new Black Diamond Bronco, but there is more value in the Ranger. I currently own a 2011 XL Super Cab Ford Ranger 2.3L Manual 2WD. Its a very basic truck. Just not very capable off road. This site is great to see how I want to build an Overlander Truck. I laughed lately. I had this new sound coming from the motor. A puffing sound. I researched what it could be. Just couldn't narrow it down. So I found my stethoscope. and had a listen. Narrowed it down to one of the cylinders. Still did not know what it could be. Thinking a big bill. My brother is mechanically inclined too, so I had him take a listen. I touched the spark plug lead and it was off the plug. What happen was the spark plug had become loose. I had changed the plugs many KM's ago. Live in Vancouver BC. Saved myself a big bill or any bill. The Rangers been very reliable. I have just above 100KM on it.
