Hey care to render an opinion - just last week I bit the bullet and bought the Ford Xwarranty - for 3 more yrs, I never have bought warranties on anything, perseverated over this but the primary driver was fear of an HVAC box failure as I drive a 2019 in the range where failures occurred. Was this a sound decision or in my old age have I lost my ability to reason ? I historically fix a whole lot of stuff but no longer man enough to take on a HVAC box repair. In any event the deed has been done.

@21Blackout have you ever seen or heard of Ford denying warranty claims based on their own Ford Performance tune?

I.E. has damage ever occurred on a Ford Performance tuned vehicle, and that damage was determined to come from the Ford Performance tune?
Negative Ghost Rider I have yet to see that scenario.

so when a ford has aftermarket parts such as suspension, and it has vibration shudder issues and has since before the aftermarket parts the ford warranty should cover yes?

So, suspension modification can be murky so to speak, i.e., angles and geometry have changed from original design and spec which can be used as a no go. however what kind of mod are we talking about if it's a leveling kit that would be a tough sell whereas cutting out a crossmember or mount to lower a differential, that would be a little easier to deny. I will say that a vibration or shudder depending on what is causing the issue can be rather difficult to diagnose. The question from me would be have you been to the dealership prior to figure out said vibration before aftermarket parts? if that is a no then you will more than likely be on your dime.

Wish there was continuity as I too deal with a same team but separate body shop and have had similar issues, glad to hear the service department stepped up to the plate.
I had a voice mail on my phone yesterday from a "Richie" at the dealership, wanting to know how my service was on my Ranger and if there were any other issues that needed taken care of. I don't know which department this Richie is in, but I suspect it's the body shop because I do believe he is the one my call was switched over to after I scheduled my oil change & state inspection with the service department. He sounded pleasant in the voicemail and not gruff like the body shop Manager, so I don't know what his position is there. I didn't return the call. I did get one of those Ford surveys a day or so ago, I gave the service department glowing rating but in the comments told about my experience with the body shop and that I'd never go there again.

Its good to know someone reached out more than likely to make amends would be worth a call back

DIDN'T QUIT, BOUGHT THE XWARRANTY FEARING THAT IT WILL QUIT AS IT'S A 2019 IN THE MFG DATE RANGE OF PROBABLE FAILURE. SHOULD IT NOT FAIL I'M HOPEFUL SOMETHING ELSE DOES SO I GET MY MONIES WORTH. I POSTED SEEKING AN OPINION FROM THE WARRANTY GENT BUT IT APPEARS HE DECLINED THE OPPORTUNITY. IT IS REALLY PATHETIC THAT SOME AUTO MAKERS CANNOT BE BOTHERED TO MAKE RELIABLE HVAC SYSTEMS, SEEMS FORD IS ONE OF THOSE THAT DOESN'T.

IMO no a ford premium care x warranty is never a bad idea as it is closest to the factory bumper to bumper coverage there is, apologies for not seeing this earlier

thanks appreciate the response - it does help to make me feel more comfortable, for decades have been expressively anti extended warranty. But that HVAC repair is frightful.

I have to think about it. If he is at the body shop, I really don't want to talk or deal with them ever again. There is nothing they can say or do that would change my feeling. I might for the heck of it, just call and ask which department Richie is in.

apparently its pretty easy for some dealers to wash hands of the warranty. got a text from mine that the problem with my truck was due to a "lift kit" - not a lift kit. it was shocks struts and leaf springs, not some cheap o china spacer- it was installed by pros in an alignment shop with state of the art laser equipment and shimmed etc. to within stock ford specs - and that it voided my factory warranty. apparently it is the cause of the vibrations that its had for months despite the suspension being less than two weeks old, already having 2 tsb done for the vibrations and a new center support bearing, and nothing is wrong with my transmission except what was caused by the "lift kit". also worth mentioning that the exact same dealer is the ones that did the transmission pcm update and valve body swap out, and told me it came from ford over a quart low lol. I am to pick up the truck in the morning... so not sure what to say or how to act except pick it up and leave. no sense arguing they have already made the ruling and trying to prove them wrong will just increase my blood pressure as its clear they do not want to do the work or apparently even test the transmission. plus at this point even if i could prove my case i dont want them working on it now. the "techs" would surely take out whatever spite for being proved wrong and forced to work on the truck on the truck. Id bet they already had plenty of fun abusing it as it is. any recommendations?

9zero1790 While context is hard to convey in text, unfortunately they are correct in Fords stance as driveline angle is no longer at factory spec due to lift no matter the type, if the vehicle was still stock you would have a leg to stand on, hate to put it that way but that is where it is at this point in time
