Magnobond 6367 the screw heads.
This sounds familiar, I think that was it, now that I see it. I do remember mixing it.
The stuff I remember dried hard as a rock
Thanks

One option for anti-theft is to fill the screw heads with RTV, years ago right after 9/11, we used a product similar to Bondo
A couple of threads ago on this subject I mentioned something similar. Button head slotted screws filled with JB weld. This tail light theft ring is getting serious out there and these punks know it.

It would work - for sure, but I think I may have some in the garage to test how hard it is to get it out for maintenance, I have used this stuff and when mixed properly it is strong.

Just replace every screw with a different type head. Security torx, one 10mm screw, another flathead srew driver screw, and the screw like a star that has 3 slots rather than 4.

It's really sad that we have to go to these security measures no
After following this, I just went out and bought a pack of license plate security torx screws.
1/4 " x 3/4 "....pack at Advance Auto is $6 bucks. Comes with a 27 torx wrench, but I happen to have a set of security torx sockets.
If it slows someone even a few minutes extra, so be it....

Yes...the small hex head screws that hold the lights in take an 8mm wrench/socket to remove.
The threaded part is 6mm x 20mm long
A 1/4" x 3/4" screw is within .3mm so about the same size.

Tough stuff. I'd use my Dremel tool with cut off wheel.

Hi Morgan, Do you have any pictures of the stuff you got for us all??? Stupid thieves. I would probably shoot the M*****F***** if I caught them in the process of messing with my Ranger.
Unfortunately you’d likely end up in prison but on the bright side you’d a few new butt buddies ?

My OCD wouldn't approve of such measures ?

The security torx is a great idea for stopping the thief from getting the lights. You'd still have to go through the whole song n' dance of getting your tailgate repaired but at least you could drive in the meantime. I might have to go snag a set this weekend. Very easy security conversion considering I've already got a full set of bits & sockets for my ratchet.
