9v. its dead jim
get the better battery, there is one with a little more AH and make the change in forscan to keep it at 90+% SOC
mine is a 21 so my time is near :(
I agree. I have SOC set at 100% (with ASS disabled & BMS sensor connected) and my truck rarely see 100% SOC, Usually it stops charging at 95%, and after a couple of days sitting it is down to 88%.

Upon startup I see as high as 35amps that quickly (under 10 seconds) drops to ~5 amps that gradually tapers to 1. By 94%-95% the alternator is only putting out 1 amp at ~14.2v. I've seen it hit 0 at 95% SOC before.

Short answer 100% SOC with ASS turned off in Forscan won't hurt the battery. If you use ASS keep the stock setting to avoid possible over charging when those bursts of very high voltage happen during regeneration phases that occur when coasting and braking with ASS is enabled.

Does that work on AGM batteries? Everything I've seen say that it's not very effective on AGM batteries, buy they will be happy to sell you one.
The TopDom tester? Yes, you can select AGM when testing.

I have a 2020, the ASS stopped working a couple of months ago. I read somewhere that when that happens, the battery is on the way out. Is this true? Meanwhile, no battery problems. Should I be proactive and replace the battery?

Try putting the battery on a charger overnight or longer and see if that helps. ASS will not work with a battery that is not fully charged. I had the same thing happen, and using a battery charger caused ASS to work again.

Uh I think it's TopDon - the other spelling suggests something out of the urban dictionary, whilst TopDon merely suggests Don Corleone.

Batteries all seem to go right around the Season change, in the winter time I have a Battery Tender I plug the truck into over night ....
I take better care of the battery than the rest of the truck LOL
because without a good battery you have no Tunes while you wait for a tow truck when your Tranny fails hahaha

With ASS enabled the battery never gets a full charge unless you use a charger with the truck off. Even then the BMS will immediately drain the battery to 75% charge as soon as you start the truck.

( I know what you are saying though)

1,2 switcharoo. New battery from Ford in place. Surprised the new battery didn’t come with the fuses. 🤨
Fuses? Do you mean the ones in the positive terminal block?

If so, believe it or not, this one…

…costs almost as much as the battery.

EDIT: New information shows otherwise - see below.

Wow - that’s very interesting. When my battery died, I had roadside assistance take my truck to the dealer. The guy who showed up cooked the fuse when using his jump pack to get it running so he could back it off the property to get it onto his flatbed. He left the jump pack attached while he drove out the dirt lane and things got bounced around - It’s a bit rutted.

Anyway, the battery was replaced under warranty and the service advisor said the blown fuse was a costly $275 mistake but that the towing company was taking care of it. Since the battery was covered under warranty, I figured that was the cost of the fuse. 🤷‍♂️

I had found this site a while ago and bookmarked it in case I needed the fuse.

I started looking for that fuse online and I think he must have been referring to the entire circuit breaker assembly. It‘s $289 CAD MSRP.

EDIT: Information from Benny at Levittown Ford added from another thread. The fuse is not available from Ford but the entire assemblies are…
