My battery died?

How did you get the battery covered under warranty? When I bought my Ranger, they were very specific that the battery was NOT covered...

I got my first one covered because I was about a year into owning it when it died. I had an excellent service writer at the time and he seemed to have no problem having original warranty cover it.

I had mine die around 18 months with my '19 and they covered it no problem. Chris @Chris M and I both had the same dealer at the time but I think (I know that's dangerous) it's covered under the 3/36. Same thing happened to my Tacoma around the 2 year mark and they also covered it for free under warranty.

Hey Jim, I didn’t have to do anything. It was 10 months after purchase - maybe the battery has a one year warranty followed by a prorated period after. I don’t know.

Ford was having some issues with bad batteries in 2019 Rangers and it could have been part of a non-communicated customer satisfaction initiative.

6 years on an OEM battery is probably a record breaker. IMO, time for a new one.

I have an April '19 build with 65,000 miles that is still on the OEM battery. I've got a voltmeter on the 12vdc outlet to keep a close watch on it as I know it's a short matter of time before it's done. But for the moment, it's still going strong.

I have seen them on AliExpress for $2.50 for a 200A or 250A I have not seen a 225A
If mine ever blows I will just stick a 10gage wire there...

If you blow a 225 amp fuse in a car you've got bigger problems! Like you are welding something!

I replaced mine in the middle of September. 2019 with around 44K on it at the time. I was getting the Sync message "start the vehicle, saving battery" or something like that. I always turn off the ASS as my pre-flight anyway. I wanted some piece of mind with hunting season and winter coming up.
