HR sure makes well thought out LED replacements but boy did they show up to the party late...I'm on my second set and very happy with them...

Don't hold your breath on aftermarket headlamps for the XLT. Your only option right now is the Lariat projector assemblies.
There is one from down under...looks like a Mustang lamp...can't remember the name right now but I think they were around $500 before shipping...

Myself and someone else bought the mustang style headlamps from Australia. There are subtle differences to make them non compatible with the NA Ranger.

Are those GTR's are specifically made for the Ranger then? It looks like they might be?

So you were not able to make it work at all?

They physically fit onto our trucks but a few of the corners have different radii, leaving gaps between the housing and body.

I wouldnt spend that kind of money on reflective housing headlights. But if you have the lariat headlights (projector headlights) go for it. Price is pretty steep but after seeing a few cars with it they seem brighter than advertised or at least compared to some cheaper ones. Still haven't seen one on a ranger so fitment is unknown as far as i know.

I ended up pulling the trigger and purchasing the low beam bulbs. They do indeed fit 1:1 with the dust cover on. Definitely significantly brighter than stock and the beam pattern is clean. Overall I’m impressed.

Wow. Quite a difference. Looks nice. Is that pointing higher from stock or was that how the original was?

Same as original. The cut off seems higher but is consistent and clean. The hot spots were near identical.

I'd been looking at these ones as well. I'll be interested to hear what your thoughts, and the thoughts of those heading towards you on the road (i.e. if you get flashed a lot or whatever), are after a while of use.
